Is the PSP Go dead yet? Haunting facts.

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Interesting article from Kotaku. Turns out your PSPGo is only worth $50 in trade-in credit to GameStop. Yes, that $250 tiny piece of overpriced hardware isn't worth jack in the eyes of all used game retailers. In fact on Ebay you can find a used one for $200. This portable now sits nicely with it's ugly portable brothers such as the Nintendo Virtual Boy and the Sega Nomad. Only difference, is this one is actually WORTH mentioning since it's a unique piece of hardware. Yet why is Sony still continuing to sell it at $250?

I don't understand why they quote a trade-in value. These values are arbitrary and are low as possible so that the company can make more money. How much do they sell those PSP's for? That would be a better indication of what they're truly going for.

I mean, the guy actually sold it for $200. Horrible article.

It was still interesting, but there's more Creeping.

Now tell me WHY that is?

Yeah, Gamestop would love to sell systems they cant sell games for. :lol

Exactly :) I am sure GS wants nothing to do with promoting digital downloading.

What these guys said. They can't sell used copies of games with it, so they're not going to bother. Like I said, GS has its own methods and reasons and most have nothing to do with the fact that it's not popular.

Exactly. They feel it cannot create a used game sale profit.

Right, which proves our point. Gamestop is not a measure of worth. If the guy can still get $200, then it still has value in the real world.

And the real world is made out of KOOL-AID! OH YEAH!! However, GameStop would intentionally drink all of our Kool-Aid if it wasn't for Ebay or Amazon or Newegg, etc. etc..

I'm pretty sure they're trying. It's the reason why I don't give them my business. There's a rare purchase here and there (like the copy of Twin Snakes) but GS is not my place to shop.

I shop there because it's local and Im restricted when it comes to online buying. If not for that though, I probably would never leave my place for buying games.

Valid point and the only time I wish to shop there is to pre-order a new game.

I don't even do that anymore. I've learned to just wait for price drops or go somewhere else. GS sells new games at MSRP when they launch, while other brick and mortar stores actually give customers upwards of a $10 discount if bought within the first week.
