Is There Anything About Today's Video Games That You Don't Like?

For me,I feel that today's video games focus too much on graphics.A close second would be that I think the dialogue in a lot of "RPG'S" is too long.Especially in the "Final Fantasy" titles.Don't get me wrong, the storyline is very important to me,I just think that sometimes they overdo it.Especially if you decide to play it a second time around constantly hitting the button to skip it,if the game allows it.

Godspeed.

The long dialogue is a downer on replayability. Main thing is the more complicated gameplay in some games. Crysis comes to mind. The 4 settings for tha suit. The 5 or so attchments to the guns, the clunky-like gameplay of it. I also hate the fact that I need a baller (ati 5000) series card to play on full settings easily.

Hmm I loved Crysis, even on my old 7600GS :P Something that is seeming more and more common is for developers to release an extremely buggy/unfinished game and pretend it's ok because they will release a patch later on.

I don't like how so many games just focus on multiplayer and single player is an afterthought or doesn't even exist.

Definitely this! You don't see many games like Goldeneye anymore that had equally awesome single and multiplayer. It's usually one or the other now.

It would be nice to see more games with an equal focus on single and multiplayer. Most developers these days make an average singleplayer and focus on trying to make multiplayer awesome. It makes sense, but at the same time it would be nice to see more games with a better balance (Call of Duty as a series is probably one of the better series at having equally good SP and MP)

the long loads noawadays.
"Rockstar" games like "GTA:San Andreas" is a good example. It's load time is slower than a 3 legged turtle.

Yeah. I have TF2 and I would love to play it but I have nobody to play it with. :(

Then I was thinking that I might like L4D2 but it sounds like the real meat of the game is multiplayer.

Maybe its not so much a new peoblem, but rediculously low drop rates piss me off to no end. I mean in ffiv ds, whats with the .4% stuff? To get the best weapons in the game shouldnt require pointless farming for hours- no, days of killing the same monster over and over again for one item. It should come from beating rediculously hard bosses with a guarenteed prize, in my opinion.

There seems to be a lack of split screen multiplayer in games this gen compared to last gen. :( That was some of the funnier moments in gaming...
