Just pre-ordered Gran Turismo4!

Over 600 cars {with some dating back to the 1800's}, over 50 tracks, all new B-spec mode where the computer races with your cars, a new thing called photo-mode where you can take photos of your cars using fx and lighting etc, New physics system, better graphics, garages can now hold around 1000 cars, and plenty more subtle updates.....If you have even the slightest interest in racing games, GT4 will satisfy!!!!

i heard the immense amount of cars that are going to be in it. i heard though that multi may not originally be in the game, but they didn't want to push it back so they're releasing a version later with it. heard from a friend so don't have an article, but something to look for

Yup, your right, online play was scrapped...I'm sure this ticks off many people but personally I don't mind, I never played Gran Tursimo with any body but myself anyways!

They do!! I've seen screens of older Camaros and GTO's, and there might even be trucks this time! I'm guessing the really old cars will be like Model T's.....But man, how slow will those be!! lol

cool, that was somthing i always missed in racing games. Just hope they reproduce them in the game correctly and from a real world point of view and not from a geek computer guy view.

Oh they are definitly real world models. The gran tursimo team takes each car and models the game version off the real life car. That way, the cars drive and act just as they do in real life....Thats why Gran Turismo is a simulator and games like burnout 3 are arcade racers.

indeed. i just want to wait for an online so i can play online with friends and random person, then we box him in and just mess with him.

The online would be a great addition for the GT seris! Probally gon make you pay to play online, cause I know the hype for online play is gonna be huge. ;)

I totally agree with you! I don't have broadband, so I never play online anyway. I just like racing with the computer or with my girlfriend or little cousin. I can't wait for this game! :woot

I heard they "punish" you in a way for reckless driving. Let me just say that is the stupidest idea I've yet heard. Just because they're too lazy to program damage models in the game doesn't mean they shouldn't...

Actually, it may sound stupid on paper but I think it's a very good idea. And by "punish" it just means that if you smack into a wall going 180 your screen will go all crazy, like it would in a real crash. This feature was included to keep people from "cheating". No more bouncing off the walls! And on the topic of damage, do you know how friggin long it would take to do car damage modeling on about 680 cars? Let's just say that we would not be playing this game for a long time if they had to do all that ;)

Well, it took them over a month to model each car so I am guessing that it would take longer to do damage modeling for each vehicle. I mean think about it, all those different animations, it would take a while. But I get your gripe. I wish there was damage too, I wish you could flip, roll, and totally destruct your car! But, I take what I can get :)....

Yeah, I agree with you. I'll take what I can get.

At least it has more cars than GT3. I really thought they went downhill in terms of car amount from GT2 to GT3. They had all Asian cars and almost nothing from anywhere else.
I also didn't like how they took out the racing modification from GT2. That really made the cars look neat.

Well, at least they made up for it with the F-1 cars in gt3, those suckers were sweet! I got word that there WILL be trucks this time, how awesome is that!?!

Out-of-place IMO. Why would you need trucks (other than the NASCAR version of a truck, which doesn't fit in this game either) in a racing simulation?

No, theres not gonna be alot of trucks, just a few. I also feel it's kinda out of place but I think once you actually play around with them in the game it will be cool. My favorite thing is that they are bringing back the used vehicle dealers, and just like GT2, new cars will show up at the used dealers from time to time. But most of all I'm excited for all the new tracks. IMO that has been the only downfall for the past 3 games. For Christs sakes I can only race Laguna Seca so many times ;)...Rumor has it, over 100 tracks...I'm sure that number includes mirrorered tracks, but still, that would mean over 50 actual tracks, nice! The one track that really gets me excited is the one through Yosemite park, oh and the Grand Canyon one looks sweet too......
