Usually, Steam is the better deal. I got L4D fro $7.49 off Steam. Thanks to Mega, of course.
But if you have reasons to not buy it off Steam, I would still wait. L4D does drop lower than $30 from time to time.

So I'm trying to get the boxed game if at all possible.
I'll look on Amazon and eBay and see if I can find one cheaper.

Amazon had it last week for $20. So definitely keep your eyes open and check out Mega's Video Game Deal thread. If it does go on sale, it'll be there.
