Lets try to get Burnout 3 on the Gamecube

You know... I want this game on the Gamecube.

Write to this address:
eagamesonline@ea.com

(I will post more addresses as I find them)

I already sent the following:
Dear EA,

Why is Burnout 3 not out for the Gamecube? There are a lot of Gamecube fans missing out on this game (including myself). I have had a lot of questions into my online shop about Burnout 3, and many do want to see if for the Gamecube.

Will this hit the Gamecube? Personally... I want to see this on the Gamecube. Its one of my favorite racers ever.

Also, If you do make it for the Gamecube, can I suggest that you add the broadband feature to it so that many Gamecubes can be linked together... ALSO so we can play it on the Warp Pipe then.

anyway... help out! lets get this game for the Gamecube!

die.  ::D

I urge everyone that owns a Gamecube (regardless if you have Burnout 3 for another system) to write.

There are a lot of people out there missing this game.

As much as I don't want to sound like a troll, I just have to add my .02 here.

They should just buy an XBOX to play Burnout 3.

The Gamecube makes a better companion system, anyway, if you like third party games.

There is one and only one reason to own a Gamecube and that is to play Nintendo games.

If you want to play Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, etc there is only one system that has them.

If third party games are what you like, multi-console is the way to go as long as third party companies like EA are going to screw over Nintendo.

so what.... you guys don't want to get another game on the system?  Just because its on another system already?  SCREW THAT... I am not "buying another system"  just to play 1 game that I think is cool. I don't buy systems for 1 games.

man.. no wonder these companies don't put games on the Gamecube.... their owners have no drive to even fight for games to be released.
If only Nintendo fans had 20% of the heart of Neo fans.... some stuff could be done.

Especially not trying (or that attitude) is what really screws Nintendo over more than anything else.

:(

I understand what you mean. I'm just...I guess I'm just a little bummed at the state of things. You probably weren't planning on getting RE4 either way, but doesn't it bother you that Capcom placed themselves in the corner of exclusivity and then decided not to? I was ok with Capcom giving away VJ and Killer 7 because I held on to the hope that we would still keep RE4. It was a really bitter moment when they announced that such a hope was not to be had, even though I'm sure most people saw it coming.

I will email EA and ask them to put it on the GC. I really don't care for the online aspect so if they put it on GC and depending on the controller config, I would probably get it.

But still. I dunno. I've seen tons of petitions regarding the GC getting certain games but it never seems to make a difference.

And actually I wish all games were multiplatform so we wouldn't have to keep hearing about the stupid so-called console wars. So...yeah, I will email EA.

it always makes a difference.

You don't petition.. you go straight to the companies.

you email them... tell them what you want. If they get enough requests... they'll do it.

BTW... Nintendo is ONE of the only companies I know that actually writes back to people in emails.

btw.. I do mean what I said... I think many Nintendo fans have lost heart in trying to get what they want on the system.

They are multiplatformers (thats not a bad thing) that can just get whatever they want because they have all the systems... or at least 2. I am a person with TONS of systems as well. BUT.... there is no reason not to try to get Nintendo fans something else.

EA had no reason not to bring that game out on the Gamecube.... especially when Burnout 2 relatively the same OR better than the Xbox version (yes, I am comparing the 2 systems :p )

anyway.... wake up you punks... and get your voice out there for games. Otherwise, be apathetic and never be heard.
I'd rather try to get something for the system.

Ok, here's what I sent to the EA email address you listed, BV. :)

To whom it may concern:

I am just curious as to why Burnout 3 was not made for the Gamecube along with the XBOX and PS2. There was a lot of talk about it being because the online aspect is a main part of Burnout 3 and the Gamecube doesn't have a strong online service.

No offense, but I think that's just a cop-out from Criterion. I bought Burnout 3 for my XBOX since I couldn't get it for my Gamecube, and in my opinion, the single-player by itself is more than satisfactory. And further, when I went on XBOX Live I didn't enjoy it as much as I did playing by myself.

I just don't think the online aspect is a good reason to exclude the Gamecube. I think the folks at EA should follow the wonderful example of Midway. Midway released Mortal Kombat: Deception, with online capabilities, on the PS2 and XBOX at the same time with no release for the GC. However, unlike EA with Burnout 3, Midway IS planning to release Mortal Kombat: Deception on the Gamecube. They are just taking the time to take out the online aspect and add other extras to make up for it.

I really hope that EA considers something similar for Burnout 3, as I would love to play it with my Wavebird on the Gamecube.

In a way I was kidding, but in another I wasn't.

This game is great, I mean it's one of the best games I ever played, I have it for X-Box AND it's online. If it went to the cube, I bet you it wouldn't be any where near as good and of course it wouldn't be online. I would rather someone just go over a freinds house to play it then to buy a halfassed version on the cube and think poorly of it.

The Cube version of B2 was better than the Xbox's... marginally.

If the Ps2 can run it... why can't the Gamecube? :?
come on Link.... :lol

I'm not saying it's the GCN's fault, I'm saying that it seems 90% of the games that comes out for most consoles, it's worse on the game cube, even more so if it's a port.

I think they should make Burnout 3 for the NES... :p

I agree though, a huge game like B3 from EA should be made on all consoles. That's what EA usually does.

That's lazy developers though. That has nothing to do with Nintendo or with the Gamecube somehow being inferior.
exactly.

the Gamecube can pull the exact same graphics as the Xbox.
People won't agree.. but I haven't seen an Xbox game have SUPERBLY better graphics than a Gamecube game (I am not talking games that come out multiplatform... but graphics comparison in the point of....."Xbox's best graphical game Versus Gamecube's)

Anyway..... I am still waiting for something mindblowing on the Xbox.

And lets face it... if it looks good on the PS2... and can look better on the Gamecube... (with a better frame rate).

MAi you are right... IT IS HELLA lazy developers. Then the developers wonder why the games don't sell well.... I think a 2 x 4 can be a great business investment sometimes.

Gamecube can pull the exact same graphics as the Xbox.
No... it can't.

But you all are right about it being mostly the developers fault, games like Burnout 3 could easily be played on the Cube, just as well as the other consoles.

Actually, PS2 can have better graphics than some Xbox games, and some GC games can be worse than that. It all depends on the game. I know some of the older PS2 games had HORRIBLE graphics, same with Xbox.

I'd give examples, but I'm still not awake from 8th period English...

yes it can. I can... there is just no way to prove it. I used to know a guy that was an engineer for the Gamecube....
on their tests... they could do anything the Xbox could. The card in the Gamecube is pretty powerful. Not to mention the color palette for the Xbox is too dim...

and your are right Tr... it depends on the game and the creator.... and how much time was spent in it.
