I guess I should start watching Death Note and see if I like it before the movie comes out. :)

i will probably wait to rent this. unless they get really good actors to play light and L.
i just hope that light doesn't become a total wuss at the end like in the manga.

Seen it, read it. Not bad. The Movie is a bit of a departure because they ended up cutting over half of the plot elements out of the manga and compressed a lot of plot points together and made a bit of changes. Most of the plot involving his girlfriend and second book/shinigami ended up as a a second movie, ignoring the parallel events that inspired it.

None of the characters were really good in the Live Action movie. Misa also has black hair instead of blonde. They get rid of the N arc all together. But, the good thing is that they have the awesome chip scene.

I was really disappointed by both Death Note Movies.
