What's up x2,

I see where you're coming from, you make a good point.Would your feelings on this issue be the same if it was one of your loved ones that commited a crime such as murder or rape?

Um, dude, if my Dad killed some innocent person than yes, I would want him to get the same punishment as anybody else. Sure, it would be sadder, but he would have known full well what the outcome would be. I understand people make mistakes, but certain mistakes are not excusable. People always sit there and play the "poor me" card, "Oh I was abused as a kid, so that makes it ok for me to murder 5 people". It's pure rubbish and I don't buy it. You get one chance at this wonderful thing called life, and if you choose to murder or rape somebody, than you don't deserve life.

So to fix the problem of killing people, you kill people.

Yes, if somebody murders a completely innocent person than they don't deserve the privilege of life. What would your solution be? Put them in prison so we can waste 60 years of food, shelter and water on them?

Isn't it being mildly hypocritical at the least to say, "Don't kill people, now you die."?

Innocent people don't deserve to die. Murderers do. There's a difference.

Nope, because you would not be killing an innocent person. In a sense, you'd just be ridding the world of more trash.

I think I messed up my last quote,my apologies.

Don't take this the wrong way x2,I understand your view in your post. However,we are in cyberspace and that makes it easier to express your belief's and thoughts.Once again x2,please forgive me,but I think if your father was only 5 minutes away from drawing his last breath,I believe you would think differently.

God bless

I don't feel that anyone has the right to tell someone that they don't have the right to live. Executioner and murderer are synonyms in my mind, with the only difference being that an executioner can kill without consequence. We are all humans, and, as such, the only lives we should be able to control are our own.

Yea I understand that, and I believe that, too. But see, where we differ, is that in my opinion life is not a right, it is a privilege. And if you commit such a absolute horrible crime as rape or murder, you forfeit that privilege. Like you said, we should be able to control our own life, therefore we should be held responsible for each action we take. And I am a true believer of an eye for an eye. I guess it just frustrates me when people say well "murder is murder". BS. You're telling me putting a murderer who killed a family of 5 to sleep is the same as him brutally killing those 5 innocent people?!?! My brain just cannot comprehend that. But I guess we as humans will always be different in that regard.

What gives you(in the general manner) the right to kill someone because they did something bad? Why do you consider your life superior to theirs, since you dictate what happens to them?

You know what, since what I am saying is clearly not clicking in your brain. You tell me fhq, you tell me what would you want to happen to the guy that just raped and dismembered your little girl? Tell me? Let him sit in a jail for the rest of his life where he needs to be fed, bathed, and clothed, thus in turn costing money? Do you think it's fair that you and I have to pay for his food and clothing after what he has taken from society? Please...enlighten me.

Hey x2,
Would you rather the guy that raped your daughter live with you, instead of a cell?

I see where you're coming from x2,you cannot take life and call it a privilege, without life everything we see and do has to be nonexistent.

God bless

Sure. I'm sure he will wish they'd have gave him the chair after living with me for a few months 8) I think it's funny {and sad} how anytime these type of convo's get brought up I end up being the bad guy! Because I want the world to be a safer place for innocent children and woman, I am the bad guy...I just don't get it.

Who's saying you're the bad guy?

x2 said:
Well not literally, but that's the general feeling I get from you and KAZ.
I'm not saying you're wrong, hell, I don't even know what 'side' of this argument I'm on.

It looks like I'm the only one who agrees with you, x2. You've pretty much said everything that can be said, so all that separates us and them is a difference of opinions.

I think the problem is that you guys are thinking on too small of a scale. You say that everybody deserves a right to live, but that's just bad for society. If one person kills some people, not only will those people never live again, but keeping that guy in a prison severely drains our funds. So, what gives a guy who does something as bad as murder the right to continue leeching on our society? What's so special about him?
