Man, the PS3 doesn't get any love...

Well, guess I just got told. But how can you prove that the younger people like Wii?

It is who they market to. How many 30+ Year olds are going to buy the Wii for anything else but Zelda? I think by Sony's price, they are marketing to the older crowd. And vice-versa for the Wii, cheaper means younger kids can afford it. No hard feelings though. And the washing machine was a joke, do not take it seriously!

Sarcasm, gotta love it. As I stated in my intro, "I tend to be very sarcastic at times". Heh, it may take a while for everybody to get used to me. Peace out.

I knew you were not going to actually sit on one, I am just saying I meant it as a joke and not an insult or arguement!

I haven't seen a PS3 or Wii for sale anywheres. But, I only ever go to Best Buy and when I am there I don't look for them because I have enough useless junk collecting dust ;)

Yeah, I have not seen either anywhere and when we were in TN this weekend I looked for the heck of it and saw none there also.

in my opinion, it doesnt deserve any love.

I am starting to notice a trend here. On all the foums I am on, it seems that the younger crowd prefers the Wii and complains a lot about the cost of the PS3. While, the older crowd seems to prefer the PS3 and does not mind the cost. I am just noticing the trend of the 5 Gaming Forums I belong to. And it seems everyone loves the 360, even though there was a lot hate towrds that system in the beginning!

Well, that could be partially because of the fact the younger crowd is more strapped for cash. But really, I think the middle of the road console (the 360 this gen and the PS2 last gen) seems to fare very well.

my friend got the 60gb and im not that impressed with it.

That seemed to be the case with 360 in the beginning. Now look at the 360. It just takes time and Microsoft was smart to release their system early!

Actually I know quite a few who are 30+ that have bought or are planning to buy a Wii. It's very possible they are in the minority but then again maybe they aren't. Cheaper doesn't mean that it's going to be sold strictly to kids, it means that every gamer who wants one can afford it. At least that's how I see it. Trying to get as many people to buy it as possible. Again the way I see it each company is trying to sell to everybody and become THE entertainment vehicle.

The 360's the best to have. We always have PS3's in stock and nobody will buy them...it's kinda sad actually. I felt bad for Sony until I realized the 360 was 20 times better. There's just no catching up to it.

I'm going to back Neo on this one and say that the younger crowd indeed are the ones who are driving the hatred of the PS3. But I wonder what's going to happen when the PS3 gets better games, and these kids' parents buy them one for Christmas or a birthday? I'm betting that they will be silenced.

The PS1 has a plethora of quality games for just about every age group. The PS2 again has not only the solid lineup of the PS1, but has a huge library of it's own. The PS3 right now should be relying heavily on the PS2 library because like everyone else has said, it's just after launch. Not many mega hit games out yet.

And for the sake of argument, I don't have a PS3. And at this time I have no plans to buy one because I don't have the funds to instantly go out and get a PS3, and a TV that is compatible with it - Yet.

I know what you mean and I have a Wii also (for the kids, but I play golf and Wii Sports on it). But, I am over 30 and wanted one because I want all new systems and to try them out. But, the money side of it is not what deters my buying. It may with some people, but they way I look at it is for a few hundred dollars more, I can get what I really want for my HDTV. I know I bought all 3 systems, but if I had to make a choice out of the 3; I would want the 360 over them all now, but......the PS3 with HDMI and better graphical engine would win me over in a few more months. I do not like Sony, but the PS3 is a powerful machine.

I would bet that the 360 will have an upgraded version with 1080p support. Developer 360's can run it like that already, just not retail 360s. But, that wold entail buying another one etc...

Yeah, I really want that HDMI input and 1080p support for the 360!

People should have to pay separately for all that high def junk on a console. It shouldn't come with it.

I agree with you there! But, for someone like me, the High Def Stuff is what sold me on it. So, a package deal worked out better for me.

Today I was walking around the neighborhood Target and noticed an oddity. Seven PS3s in the display case. Zero Wiis, and about a dozen or so 360s.

And next to the PS3s, a whole bunch of games. I am hoping that Ebay is stealing target's thunder on selling them, because if not, then I'm not buying the argument of "There's not enough PS3s, and that's what's hurting them."
