You log in, you choose a server, you make your character (but dont forget to get a good stat on the dice roll) and you're set on your adventure. When you start, there will be a short tutorial showing you the basics of the game, when you get to level 10 you travel to the main island and choose 1 out of 4 jobs (Classes), the Warrior, the Theif (Ninja), the Archer, and the Mage.
Then you can do quests, level up and have fun with friends, when you get to lvl 30 theres another job advance, then another one at lvl 70, each job advance gives you more skills. You can also have fun with friends while you're leveling.

This game is really fun, there is LOTS of stuff to do, it is definently entertaining if your into mmorpgs

The controls are extremely customizable and the interface is extremely easy to understand.

The graphics in MapleStory are different then the graphics in any other games, since its a 2-d side scroller the graphics really arent that good, but they are enjoyable in a different way then 3-d games

The songs from the game might really get you annoyed after a while of playing it.

Just like any other mmorpg this game takes lots of time to level, the max level is currently 200 and nobody has reached it yet, most people quit at around level 90 due to boredness

The community used to be pretty bad, lots of hackers and scammers, but now Nexon are working really hard on fixing that, and you will definently see some progress in a couple months

You can use the cash shop with real money to buy items that change your appearance, pets, megaphones (a message to everyone on the server), gachapon tickets (sort of like a slot machine, but you get an item every time).
