Grrr, this makes me so angry. I preordered Mass Effect, online, before the limited edition was announced. Now I have to go talk to Best Buy customer support, to see if I can get my order cancelled, or changed to the limited edition. Oh well, its still good that they finally announced one. :)
 
every game has a limited edition these days

they are not worth buying anymore, just gives you a more fragile case and some art book or limited edition stuffed animal

or extras you can watch on youtube

in fact, i wish i had gotten the regular halo 3, because i have to put it in a different case when i take it places so it doesnt get scratched/dented
 
Well, Mass Effect's LE is just $10, and it seems to have quite a lot of extra content, so I'll pick it up, even if it is overpriced for what you get.

EDIT: And, now we have even more complications with my preorder.  Bioware hasn't announced which retailers will be carrying the LE, outside of Gamestop.  Best Buy doesn't even have the game in their online store yet, so now, on top of canceling my preorder, I will probably have to go preorder it from Gamestop, and oh how I loathe Gamstop. >:(

I think you're offbase there. It doesn't have the hype level of Halo 3, or GTA IV, but its recently started to get a lot of support behind it, and Microsoft expects it to sell well over a million units.

Plus, preordering it online means I can get it shipped straight to my doorstep, the day it comes out. Now that's convenient.
