Mercenaries...any good?

I usually played as the black dude, Chris, I kinda enjoyed havin the witty, sarcastic, cocky dude along the ride, the chick was too, "Official" for me and the other guy wasn't as bad as he thinks he is. I'd put a bullet in that dude's eye.
 
I kinda prefer Jen. The "black dude" tries to be a hero, but fail. The swede wants to be as bad as they come, but fail. Jen sounds like she's about to fall asleep when carpet bombing some random enemy base, so she's my favourite. She doesn't try to be cool, she is.
 
a rip off from gta series.this game i find it very boring. driving here and there, blowing up places, capturing the 52 most wanted war criminals.. worth a rent only.

well I have never played the game, but I have seen the screens for it. It seems like a pretty cool game. Im pretty content with the GTA series...

*finally calmed down after a whole month* I did read it, and it has got to be the biggest. piece of... *breathing heavy trying to calm down* No, she's allowed to have her own opinion. I love Mercenaries and think it's one of the best games ever made. Some stupid magazine even rated it Game of the Year in -January-, so how bad can it be? :D And for that matter, we're talking August now, and I got it in January. And I still play it. Maybe not daily any more, but I still play it. When was the last time you played a PS2 game eight months straight? :?

On the other hand, I got a small game called Destroy All Humans! a few days ago. I got it Friday afternoon and finished it Saturday night. Some friends wanted to take me out to some stupid club so we could get seriously drunk, but instead I sat at home playing Destroy All Humans! and finished it. (and then got drunk, but that's a different story). It's to short, but otherwise an excellent game. Wanna know why I got it? It's made by Pandemic, the creators of Mercenaries. (and since I'm a sci-fi addict. You get to unlock two movies called "Plane 9 From Outer Space" and "Teenagers From Outer Space" when you beat the game, but I already have them both in my DVD collection. Two copies of Plan 9, even.) :D
