Metal Gear Solid the Movie, who may snag the role of SOLID SNAKE??

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
According to a Nuts magazine interview, Bale stated that he will be in the running to play the role of Solid Snake in a Metal Gear Solid film adaptation, due for release in 2009.
 
Wait... WTH!!!! MGS movie... ... ... they better not ruin it or there'll be hell to pay... Though it shouldn't be hard. MGS's story line is like an interactive movie anyway... though there's plenty of games out that are like that, and their movie counterparts have been bodged before!
 
I'm excited. Bale as a sexy Snake!!

EDIT: To understand this, you must be a person that loves Christian Bale. And I'm all fangirl over him. :lol

I always thought this guy, David Wenham, has the Snake look down, dunno about the personality though.

I've never been a big fan of David Wenham. I thought his role as Faramir was based off of looks more than acting ability, and that tainted my view of him as an actor. He might do a good job, but I would rather see Bale as Snake before Wenham.

I actually think Hugh Jackman would be able to pull off the look and the character.
