no matter what, this is a game for fans, so if you're not a fan, then why play? The story became so convoluted with MGS2, that it took me at least two playthroughs to get it all. I think those that have been around for a loooong time(like me and I'm sure most of you) will be the ones that truly enjoy it. There aren't many here that actually know most of the story of MGS. MGS2 was sorta of confusing at first too. but I got the gist of it all with a playthrough. I really wanna see how confusing this plot is gunna be since the others have all had some complex storylines.

Well we live in times where people impressed by Gears of War's "glow" in the graphics can be enjoyed withthe release of GoW2, whilc those who like MGS can live with MGS4, just get both systems 
That Bloom is in all of the games that are built with the Unreal 3 engine. I really don't like it when a game uses Bloom that much.

I was just saying that the combat reminds me of Gears of War, which is certainly not a bad thing. I'm sure MGS4 will be amazing.

Okay, just try to keep up with the simplistic storyline of Gears and tell me you won't fall asleep from the commonality of it. MGS keeps you in so much suspense that you have to pay attention. Go to Gametrailers.com to see the tralier of the game where snake just changes back to young snake before your eyes....not the one where he drinks some drink, the other one. I played gears and it was fun, but MGS keeps you stuck for a LOOOOOONG time....
I totally agree. MGS is one of the only games that I could play 10 times non-stop and still not be bored. I sometimes just go a month with playing nothing but the original MGS on the PSX/PC.
