Microsoft announces HALO Anime miniseries!

I always wondered what it'd be like if Halo had an Animated series. Since there's so much in the Halo universe, it's not a difficult task to do, so long as those who made it followed the story.

I'll be keeping tabs on this thread for more updates! :D

Ditto. I'm so watching this. The bishonen could go though. One of the guys in the trailer looked too gorgeous to be a Spartan. :lol Still, I'm expecting them all to be great.

You'd reckon they'd use the original voice cast from the series... I wonder if they will, or just find actors who can pay out the full contract who sound close to the voice actors i the series... I hope not!! I'd reckon that almost all of them would be happy to come along for the ride, considering they enjoyed working with the team in the first place. ^_^

Production IG does animation for LOTS of video games. I think they've done work on the recent Tales games, in fact. Can't remember for sure, though.

@ Hell - I hope they use some of the cast from Red Vs. Blue, too.

Well, Master Chief's saga is over so would they continue anything with him? And I hope this series is canon....

They will. Most likely, this will be a compilation of what has occurred before, during, and maybe even a little after the Covenant/Human war.

Juts like in Halo3 in the 2nd level, when you walk up to a locked door, and they're replaying a voice over from RvB :lol I reckon that'd be cool if they got the cast to play some of the marines and stuff! With the same attitudes as them too!! ^_^

The Halo Legends won't be out for months. Spike will be airing up to seven minutes of it tonight. The shot above is clipped from that clip.

Spike's Halo 3 ODST Countdown To Launch special airs at midnight tonight, Eastern and Pacific, featuring host Geoff Keighley and a trio of Halo-minded experts, Bungie's Joe Staten and Brian Jarrard along with 343 Industries' Frank O'Connor. They get a Keighley grilling about all things Halo.

Possibly more exciting for Halo fans will be the debut of several minutes of action from the Halo Legends anime, focusing on the "Babysitter" short. The clips I've seen have a Spartans and ODSTs in action, snapping at least one neck and delivering the most viscous punch I've ever seen in a Halo project.

Microsoft plans to begin running previews of the seven shorts that comprise Halo Legends this November over Xbox Live, launching the full compilation on DVD and Blu-Ray in 2010.

Watching it right now :D Woot!

*edit*

Did you know these men: Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed), and Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell, The Sky Crawlers). J-Spec Pictures' Joseph Chou (Appleseed) are producing the series?
