What would you say is the most important game in Nintendo history (besides Super Mario Bros)?
I would say Donkey Kong, since it basically put them on the road to making Super Mario Bros, and DK is the game that got Shigeru Miyamoto noticed to begin with for the most part.
But...Pokemon is also pretty big for them. Without it, I doubt the handheld systems would be where they are.
On the negative side of things, Mortal Kombat had a huge effect on Nintendo's history. The editing of it was the thing that turned the Genesis into a cooler console and started the whole image of Nintendo systems being "kiddy," which they still haven't quite recovered from.
