My HDTV hates my Wii! Help!

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
So I was in the mood to play Magician Lord on my Wii's Virtual Console, right?

Here's the problem: NO PICTURE! I can hear the music and sound effects, but NO PICTURE!

Solutions I tried: Delete the file and re-download it.
Outcome: Same thing

Solutions #2: Switch the signal to 480i
Outcome: Same thing

Solution #3 : Switched to a standard AV Cable
Outcome: It's working

Now what do I do??
 
isn't this a similar problem with the other ps2? what did you do to solve that one?

All I remember is it was a picture of about half of your room and you had a Genesis hooked up to it with Sonic. From what I remember reading, you said the pic was recent. Could just be my imagination.
