Need advice dealing with Sony

Sony FTW
My ps3 broke for the 2nd time last night :o. This is after having it fixed or refurbished by sony which costed me $150. Now They also gave me a 90 day warranty with the repair, and guess what happened. . . The stupid system breaks almost 3 months to the day of getting it back. Same issue, same error code. . Coincidence? Or sony sabatoging my system to make me pay another 150 bucks? lol I doubt it but you never know. Anywho, I was hoping that someone on here knew how to talk to a sony rep. All I can find are service numbers where you talk to recordings. I feel that I should be given a new or working system for free. I mean, come on, I've given them my buisness and they obviously gave me a faulty system And I'm certainly not paying sony to "Fix" my system again. . . This probably should have gone in tech support but it is more about sony than a question of ps3 tech.

you can demand that actually. It worked for me. My first PS3 that froze, they sent back to me, and it was damaged completely. Almost as if they dragged it across the floor. It had a large gouge on the left side of it. Now you can tell I was pretty pissed at the condition of the system, so I called back, and demanded that they replace the system.

I sent them an email today. The thing is, the limited service warranty is over. Now I'm still going to demand a new system for no charge, but can you give me a number that I can use to talk to a real sony rep, not a recording?

Dial 1-800 345 SONY. There is a way to speak to a REAL person, by saying the word agent or representative I think

That sucks man. I don't know how to deal with anyone. The only time I spoke to anyone was calling Microsoft to cancel my 360 tag so I could sell my console..and that was HELL! But yeah..none of my consoles have ever broke *knocks on wood*..I have sympathy for ya though!

Thanks for the help :). I was just doing a bit of research on the matter of replacement/refurb PS3s and discovered something kind of disturbing. Sony doesn't handle the repairs. . . some third party (idk who) refurbishes PS3s. Also, while looking at other forums I've found that a lot of people have issues with their replacements, similar to what Mega described. I'm about to call and probably argue with a sony rep to give me a working system and something else (possibly a dualshock?) for paying $150 for a system that no longer works. If Sony doesn't get their **** together I see a lot of legal problems in their future.

EDIT- SONY FTW! I was out of warranty but they approved me anyways. No charge whatsoever! boo $150 service fee. . . Horay beer!
