Neo-Geo CD Top Loader. Lid Problem.

I usually have to sit something somewhat A little heavy on top of my neoCD cause if I dont the game will sometimes reset by itself if I dont. and I know its because the Top/Lid wont close all the way like it should. anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks. -Jack.
 
sorry for the late response to this.

ok.. so it won't close all the way... what is obstructing it?

Anything that you can see?
Is the lid off the hinge a bit?

there is a small piece on the lid that goes down into the bottom part of the system to keep the lid down.. does that match up right?


AND if I am right.. there is another small piece from the lid that pushes down into a trigger into the bottom of the deck in the back of the system
... can you see if that matches up correctly.

If all these parts are not there.. I'll need to inspect the Neo CD here again... and take a look what it might be.

oddly it started closing all the way cause the problem has just stopped the games load and play fine now w/out them restarting.
 
cdoty..... I don't know if that is possible or not. I guess it could be if someone was selling one for parts...

I have never attempted to remove a lid and then put a new one on..... so I cannot say for sure.

And neocdjack.... so things are good then?

It's actually very easy. I jsut recently did it with one I had.
