Netflix monthly fee plans changing on September 1st.

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Here's the low down. You get three choices. Option 1) $7.99 a month for instant streaming ONLY. Option 2) $7.99 a month for 1 DVD at a time only (Which is unlimited) or option 3) $15.98 for BOTH option 1 and 2. This plan kicks in September 1st, 2011.

In my honest opinion, it's not that bad! Yet if you rely on getting streaming and the DVD's each month, then that stinks. Yet if all you want is streaming or just DVD's ONLY, then you're in luck!

Netflix Fee Changes

It's actually really bad. They don't have enough good movies on streaming, and going to just DVD's would also suck. Right now I do streaming and one DVD which is perfect, so basically to keep that service I will have to pay 60% more come Sept 1st. That is an outrageous increase and horrible timing considering the economy. I let them know what I think of the plan along with 40k+{last time I checked, probably much more now} others on their FB page. Bad move Netflix.

Yea I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I love the plan I have right now, but I refuse to pay that much more for it.

Welp, local video store is only like 3 blocks from my house so I guess I'll just stick to that. Was cool while it lasted

Meh, I like my streaming and DVD rentals so $16 isn't that bad. I hate that they're increasing it but it's not that much more.

A 60% increase is much more. Not to mention they just increased prices not that long ago.

Well %wise that is a lot more. But money-wise if you can pay $10.99 a month (what we pay) you can probably pay $16 a month so it doesn't make much of a difference to me. But anyway, just my view on it.

Who knows, though, since we pay so much already (don't really know why/don't care) it may be more than $16…hmm…

Well of course I can, but my frustration is based on principal and ethics. I'm not gonna pay 6 freaking dollars more a month for the same service that's not offering any sort of incentive or upgrades.

I had a free trial of the streaming service last month so I tried it out. Boy, I'm glad I don't pay for that service because the stuff they have on streaming is garbage. I couldn't find hardly anything that I was looking for on there. Cancelled as soon as my trial was over. So raising the prices is ridiculous.

I think I may be the only one who enjoys the streaming and will only be subscribing to that service.

They have a lot of my favorite shows and movies for the most part do get immediate streaming once it's released to stores. This plus Hulu+ has had me completely remove cable from my life. So much cheaper and I'm willing to wait a few days to watch my shows. Gives me more time to play video games. :)
