New MP3 Player

It's my 16th birthday, and I want to put most of my money towards a car. However, I do want to splurge a little (since I never buy anything) and buy a new MP3 player. I'm looking for something with a LOT of storage space (i.e., more than 4 GB at least), and with a reasonable price tag.I don't want to buy an iPod because they're really expensive and they're not that great anyway. I'm going to research later, but I was wondering if any of you have any good models that you have personally seen or used. Thanks for the help.

I have a Zune and I think it's awesome. 30 gigs of space and you can have music, movies, and pictures. Since it's Windows friendly, if you rip your music as WMA files instead of Mp3s, you can fit more on there.

Mine right now for example:

266 songs
170 pictures
13 videos

And that's only 1.45 gigs used. I could fit my entire music collection on it.

Granted, the videos are all Red Vs. Blue clips, but you actually can fit entire movies on there as well.

Edited to add, the Zune I have is the Halo edition one and it cost $249.99 because I got it at GameStop. But Wal-Mart sells the black, white, and brown Zunes for like $220.

The zune looks real cool but I personally have never used one before. I've just always stuck with my ipod.

Those are the editor's top picks at CNET. Give it a look.

I heard the Zune isn't that great...

I have had no problem with my iPod ever. My brother and sister have also never had problems with theirs.
