Yes I did and i do not feel the same way as you do.

GAMEFAN

the genesis had a more intricate skill system, and better graphics(not that graphics really matter that much)it was closer to the pen and paper game, and it was much more open ended.the genesis version also had a darker feel to it,where the snes version looked more cartoony, and the matrix in the genesis version was better...there might be more, but that is what i remember off the top of my head

Are you serious?

Shadow Run is my all time favorite game, I can't believe someone else is talking about this! Both versions were spectacular, and had their strong points. It's a toss up as far as which one I think is better, if you're more into role playing go with snes, if you're more into a game like syndicate w/ some role playing aspects get the genesis one. They're both worth playing for sure.

The more I think about how good this game COULD be...the more excited I become about it.Imagine the possibility's...obviously it should be an online game in a huge since. There are different roles to be filled in this game,so a Decker would experience the matrix as a huge part of his game, while a street samurai would be into all kinds of bioware..SMG's.and hand to hand combat.a mage/shaman would be dealing with the astral plane along with the physical, and a team needs all of these aspects to succeed!Even the contacts you make could be real people.....Not to mention you should be able to choose your race from a number of options such as elf,troll,human,dwarf...It has the potential to be the best online game ever..the world of Shadowrun is perfect for it!

I'm freakin' out man! I agree with you, I could be the best online game ever.... I'm just kinda surprised I've not heard anything about it! But yes, I'd buy shadowrun the day it came out.

Yeah I downloaded the preview on my 360, and I must say I haven't been this excited about something since halo 2 coming out......

I've been flipping back and forth to G4 watching the E3 coverage hoping to catch some more info about the game.

OH BTW... Have you seen Jonny Neumonic ? I swear I think they borrowed from FASA on a lot of their characters and portions of their story line, storing info in a couriers head, street docs, the Yakuza, Body Implants, Heck even Jones the Dolphin could be a Dog reference... What do you think?

The matrix seems to be more of a borrowed concept than a rip-off. The idea of being inside a computer world and still retaining your mortality has been around practically ever since computers were introduced to the sci-fi sceene. I can't come up with a concrete example pre-dating shadow run because typically sci-fi doesn't make it main stream but I do remember old comics and b-movies with similar concepts. It does seem odd though that the term "the matrix" has been used several times and it does seem like FASA came up with it first, but who knows, computers have been around since the 40s or 50s, and anyone with an active imagination and a talent for writing could have included a matrix type world in a story. It's an intreguing concept and i'm actually surprised it's not come up more often.

This blows....... Fans are bashing the game left and right because FASA is taking the rpg elements out of the game and it's pretty much going to be another shooter. I mean I'll still get it and play it but I think it's high time for a GREAT rpg for the 360 and that launch title one with the rolley little animals and stupid no action moves STUNK! I can't think of the name of the game and am so ticked off I don't even wanna go find out. Search IGN or something about shadowrun and see what people are saying, it's horrible.
