looks like Famitsu is out early this week , there is a scan for NINJA GAIDEN Σ2 for the PS3

It was only a matter of time. I have the 360 version. I'm hoping they fix all the bugs and nuisances...and I'll definitely get this one.

Yup, no surprise. Sigma sold well on PS3.

Though Ryu Hayabusa and his reckless vendetta against all manner of attached limbs might be contrary to the more ... subtle approaches employed by a traditional ninja, we don't recall anybody complaining too vehemently while they were jumping off a wall and decapitating a hundred demonic spider things. According to a recent issue of Japanese mag Famitsu, PlayStation 3 owners are set to get another taste of Team Ninja's action franchise, in the form of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2.

Much like the original Sigma reworked the Xbox's Ninja Gaiden (to former Team Ninja designer Tomonobu Itagaki's chagrin), Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 appears to be a modified version of the Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden 2. Images depict several familiar environments and characters, along with some new shots of Dead or Alive's Ayane, who may be a playable character.

Expect more details to be formally announced over the next week, including confirmation on whether this is "a loss of face for everyone involved." We certainly expect monster faces to get the worst of it.

OMG 2 new playable characters, online co-op, and new enemies as well?! Looks like this one blows the 360 one away in terms of content.

Make that 3 new playable characters...

Koei Tecmo will release the PS3 action game Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 in Japan on October 1, 2009. The PS3 version will have several new features but less blood than the Xbox 360 version of Ninja Gaiden 2.

Less blood than the 360 edition? PFFT!

but I'll still buy it...*blush*

And who cares if it has less blood? It's still going to be Ninja Gaiden....

No I saw it. I was just making that comment because I have talked to a few people that say that the PS3 version is now the wimp version.

Well I'll make a comment to them to counter-act their comments so my comment can stand clear.

Now for my rebuttal to those few people you speak of....*clears throat*....your mother....thank you *bows*

Regardless, the game will do well I would say.

Tecmo will release a demo of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on PSN in Japan on September 17, the game will be available on October 1, 2009.

Demo sneaks out this Thursday in Japan.

Mega is on it like jello shots on Rachel's cleavage!

I just played the demo.

The game starts out exactly like the 360 edition, figured it was going to be the same trip down the road. One big thing you'll notice is not much blood this time around, which is perfectly cool since I think we all agreed it was silly and overdone like Mortal Kombat 2 style. So sometimes "Purple mist" appears out of the head of a spider clan's head instead of gushing blood.

The biggest spoiler/shocker was something that looked straight out of "God of War" in terms of size. I'll leave it at that, since it was a nice surprise.

Graphically it's really brighter compared to it's 360 counterpart, since this game receives it's Sigma overhaul like the previous game.

Newest edition is "TEAM Missions" Where you and the CPU partner take on a wave of enemies. Yet, in the full game you can go online with a real person in co-op. This mode was rather fun and awesome, since together you can cause some serious Nippo magic damage at the same time that ends up looking like a mushroom cloud, literally.

Now for something completely useless and silly....when you finish the demo you can play as Ayane. You can control the jiggling of her breast (and any female characters I'm assuming in the full game) by shaking the sixaxis controller. No joke, it's hilarious.

Regardless, I'm pleased with this director's cut and look forward to it's Sept 30th release.
