Nintendo says Zelda doesn't have a time line?

Zelda has no timeline??

I highly doubt this, but wasn't it Miyamoto himself, who actually pointed out that Wind Waker takes place 100 years after OoT?
Maybe that's only for that game.

Honestly... I don't remember a timeline... Even if Wind Waker was exactly 100 years after OOT... when was OOT? :lol

even if he says there is no Timeline fans will love to create some for him

I never really thought of the series as having a timeline. I remember when Majora's Mask came out every was trying to determine exact chronologies of when exactly that game took place in relation to the others. I think that turned out to be a fool's errand. It doesn't line up and it doesn't need to. The Zelda series is a vocabulary with which many stories are told, its not one single story itself.

Does it really matter either way?

Every Zelda made has had pretty good success. They must be doing something right. No?

Godspeed,

I'm with Stealth here. I always thought of the series as timeless, that the games shouldn't a couldn't really be chronologically related (Wind Waker and Phantom Hourglass being exceptions).

I'm sure the new DS one will be around the time of those, as well, Cherry.

i don't think so, this time Link is on a Train and there seems to be no "Great sea" plus you can see the princess as Zelda and not Tetra.....

but i don't think nintendo has announced anything on the matter
