No Shave November

For the month of November a few friends and I entered into a pact whereby no shaving of facial hair can take place, hence the name. I participated for a number of reasons, mostly because its fun to look like a scuzzy grub in public, and it gives me an excuse to wear ripped jeans and plaid. But I also wanted to see just what kind of facial hair I can grow. Turns out everything on or below the jawline is pretty swank, but everything above is just starting to realize its potential. I think with some time and attention, by next N.S.N., I could grow a wicked beard. :lol

So I guess this is a topic about the trials and tribulations of shaving (ladies welcome as well, from what I understand (very little) you do a lot more shaving than men do). And more to the point, is growing a beard really all its cracked up to be? I've rocked a goatee on and off over the past few years, but should I set my sights higher?

A Viking Beard would be awesome. Personally I'm gonna go for a Lumberjack thing first, and if that turns out well, maybe aim for some sort of seafaring facial hair. :lol

I have already done the caveman. Lumberjacks are too Canadian for my liking. Once my hair is back to it's long length I shall stop shaving completely to get the full viking look.

Trust me, having a beard is no fun at all! It itches, everything you eat/drink gets stuck on it, it makes you feel dirty and grungy, and well, they really don't look too great!

Edit: They don't look good on me, but on some people they work alright.

Ive always been debating with my self weather to keep the goatee or grow a full on beard and i shall continue to debate for very long time ive always wanted something like Dime Bag Darell had.

Hm. Interesting topic. If I were to participate in No Shave November, I would end up participating in No Job December.

:lol

I have a friend who I thought was participating in N.S.N., but as it turned out he got hired a couple weeks into October and just quit shaving once he didn't have to go to interviews anymore.

I love goatees on guys. I think they are really hot. But clean shaven looks fine too. Not much into full beards tho.

Dude!

You are going to be scratching your neck and face Big time!Take a look at some of your friends or anyone with stubble to a beard.I defy you find one that doesn't. :lol

Actually, if I grow out most of my facial hair, I end up with a look similar to Captain Morgan, with a lesser moustache.
