It was bound to happen sooner or later, and well, here you go. Nyko has revealed its new Wireless Nunchuck for the Wii, which they say will function just like the original, aside from the addition of what appears to be an "Off" button for the peripheral itself.

Using 2.4-GHz wireless, this newest threat to your television's safety connects to the Wiimote by way of a receiver module that plugs into the accessory port. The absence of cordage obviously suggests that you'll need some other means of powering this thing, which I'm sure will please the good people at Duracell as much as it does anyone else.

You'll get a better look at Nyko's new Nunchuck after its official public debut at CES next month, along with more information on pricing and how not to pelt your sister in the face with it. Until then, there's some ugly web site that has a few more pictures of it.

Maybe it would be better if it didn't have the Home button your thumb could hit.

And if the cord on the current one was bad. I mean, it's never gotten in my way.

What's so horrible about having a cord? It's not like it connects to your console... It's just connected to your other hand...

Where theres a controller, theres going to be a wireless phephiral (SP?)

Dude, it's bad enough that the Wii-Mote doesn't fit into the Zapper if it has the Nyko rechargeable pack equipped, meaning I have to use AA batteries to play Zapper games.

No, I think I will pass on a wireless Nunchuk. I probably would accidently throw it if it was wireless. :lol

Plus, I hate the color. It's just a little shade away from the Wiimote and it bothers me.

That would be pretty pointless except in M&SatOG in 4x100m Freestyle with Blaze, Knuckles, Eggman, and Bowser.

i don't know, when i was playing no more heros i got a little carried away and doing the wrestling moves and pulled on the chord a little too hard. nothing bad happened, but i was worried i screwed up the wire.

I've never had a problem with the cord yet, but I don't care for Nyko accessories, generally speaking.

And no one bought Mario and Sonic, so we don't have to worry about that, thankfully.

I'm just going to ignore that comment like the good person I am.

Yeah, I have the Nyko Charging Station for the Wii, and at first it was cool, but now the rechargeable batteries don't recharge anymore, and I barely even used them! I'm just going to get regular rechargeable AA batteries since I can also use them in my camera.
