Sony hands down beat Microsoft this year, which surprised me.

Also since everyone seems to be just following the press conferences, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online will be coming out this summer, with GGPO (which is the greatest thing Capcom could ever do), for $14.99.

Here's the official trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6t_T1zU-xFA

SOOO HYPE!

<3 Love it.

I don't see how Nintendo's was better than Sony's. They didn't announce anything about the WiiU except what the controller looked like, no price, not even a projected window of release. They also showed games we all knew were coming except for Luigi's Mansion.

Well I have yet to watch Nintendo's conference so I can't say anything good or bad about theirs at the moment.

But I can say the same of Sony's conference, it was kind of boring because most of the stuff they presented we already knew or was just more Move stuff... Vita was nice but we also saw that one coming.

Wii U looks interesting. Not sure if I like the position of the analogs. However NEW SUPER SMASH BROS GAME!!! (very pissed not even a teaser trailer was shown though)

Looking back on it, I'd have to agree. I think Sony may have edged out Nintendo. The Vita is way more worth the money than a 3DS, and the games and different stuff you could do with the Vita were awesome. And with the Vita we have a price and release window. Unlike Nintendo who merely showed but a teaser of the Vita and stuff we already knew about. I'd just have to switch Sony and Nintendo's ratings.

Microsoft - C

Sony - B-

Nintendo - C+

Looking at nintendo's conference I gotta say it also wasn't great either.... however the WII U makes me cream my pants.... a way of making my console game into a temporary portable.... that just makes my day!!! looks like next gen is going to be my gen...

so all in all i thought this E3 was very....underwhelming... Sony's conference put me to sleep, nintendo's didn't wow me much but well at the very least VITA and U look great.

I'm really not impressed with any of the new hardware. But some of the games for current consoles look fantastic.

Today's excitement for me was Luigi's Mansion 2 for the 3DS. I never thought they would do a sequel to Luigi's Mansion, which was IMO an absolute gem on the Gamecube.

When I read about and saw the Wii U my imagination began to run amok. I thought about dog fights in outer space, Star Wars or Star Fox style, multi players in the same room and online simultaneously. Each individual seeing from their own cockpit view from their Wii U.

And with multi player games, one could get ahead and be at the end of the level before anyone else. Maybe in 3D RPG games you could turn your Wii U around, looking around the environment, while the other players are looking else where with their Wii U. But who knows what they have planned. Here's hoping they have something better than these ideas of mine working in something. :)

I side with Frodus on this one. Luigi's Mansion 2 was the first thing that grabbed my attention. As for the titles for the Wii U? They're already coming to PS3 360 or PC. So thinking back to yesterday, I was a real jerk about getting worked up about it when it came to Sony's conference.

For example, Kevin Butler really isn't that much of impact on Sony after all that has happened like Frodus told me. He has lost his edge and isn't as funny anymore, but I think he's doing that since Sony wants him to keep it to a low key. For that, I apologize to Frodus and Zidart.

Back on track to Nintendo. I was displeased with Mario Kart's graphical display, which looked rather outdated. Until they hauled out Kid Icarus and thought to myself, "Why can't Mario Kart look this grand graphically and why does Mario STILL have blocky hands!? This isn't the DS or N64 for godsakes." Shame on Nintendo for rushing that out like an Activison cash cow.

I got a feeling Zelda Skyward is going to be delayed again and pushed onto the next console on purpose (Just like Twilight). Also, What the HELL Nintendo? The Mii's again?! Get that garbage out of there!

I'm not overly pleased with the awkward Ipad looking controller. The concept is superb, but I like this idea when it was called "THE SEGA PICO" >.>

Yet wearing my emotions on my sleeve at the moment is a big no no in this case and I really don't want to step on any more toes with my clumsiness. I just feel Sony did a good job, but in reality I would say Gears of War 3 is expected from us than a dirty dishes from Studio 343's attempt at continuing the Halo franchise. I need two experts in storyline to help me with this one. Like Aleeock and Mai to fill in the gaps for me, cause I have NO idea how Chief is even going to make a come back with all this silliness.

The Vita was a lovely surprise and it's presentation was glorious. Yet the biggest thing they touched on that everyone seems to ignore? RPG's. Sure RUIN is the hack/slash you'd love to own, but why is it Square-Enix to throw out Final Fantasy XIII-2?? Why can't Namco-Bandai step forward or NIS or ATLUS? It would be nice, I love those guys.

Sony's PS Vita hit the price right and I was happy with that. Shocked since I still remember the PSP launch price. Also, BioShock for Vita was impressive. I just wonder what year it will take place.

MS Kinect? Clever ideas, but after selling so many of these things. They had to get on the ball as soon as possible, because you can't just twiddle your thumbs and think KINECTANIMALS is gonna jump off the shelves now did ya?

There's a few storyline possibilities with Halo. At the end of the Halo books, Dr. Halsey and a couple of the other Spartans were in a space bubble on Onyx. I'm really not sure where they are going to go as far as enemies, though.

Either way, I feel like Halo has been done to death and there's going to have to be something really amazing to make it stand out from other shooters.

Gears of War 3 I'm still excited about because of the storyline, and I didn't play it to death so it feels more fresh to me. The gameplay video they showed during the conference wasn't particularly exciting looking, but watching a game and playing a game are quite different things.

Also, watching the 3DS stuff in 2D really does not do it justice.

One of my oldest friends I went to High School with sent me a lovely picture from E3 2011. She works for Warner Bros Interactive in Washington state.

I love this picture and I hope you will too. :)

Yeah Keith Apicary. I remember seeing him interrupt Olivia Munn last year and thought that was awesome. I just wonder if he's gonna do anything to get himself kicked out this year too :lol

The Wii U controller is almost bigger than the console itself. Way too bulky for me. And I thought it was funny how the Wii U showed that you can take gaming portable, when Sony did that a day earlier with the Vita.

I'm satisfied with what Nintendo showed and that's because the WiiU doesn't look like it's going to be another shovelware system. It's going to have some decent 3rd party support.

As for the controller, it is what it is. Just like the Wii Remote, I believe there's going to be lost potential, but probably not as much as motion controls in general.

I would say that Nintendo and Sony were on par. Mostly because Sony didn't really unveil anything new either other than a price point and official name. Which is nice but doesn't have the same affect as revealing a new console altogether. Sony already had their day back in January when the revealed the NGP.
