Official Recent Game Happenings Thread

Started playin Arkham Asylum since I have never played it. You guys this game is awesome. I can't wait to beat it and play Arkham City now.

Also playing BF3.
 
Ugh!

So I was playing Aliens vs. Predator and it completely deleted my save when I finished the Marine missions. I hate bugs like this. I knew I should've backed up my save. So frustrating.

I am enjoying the game and have noticed that there is not much exploring. It has more of a 3D platformer feel to it. There seems to be an increasing complexity to the battle system as you advance in the game. Good story involvement, kind of reminds me of the first Xenosaga. Lots of story telling with in-game video segments. Sort-of-like interactive anime. Haven't read any reviews so I do not know what the reception was for this. I have always liked FF gaming.

I have been watching FFXIII and FFXIII-2 to see if they would go bargain bin prices locally. I figure I would like to get both by this Christmas. I figure they will be hard to find after that point.
 
FFXIII-2 is a huge improvement over FFXIII in the area of exploration, IMO. That's one of the things I really love about FFXIII-2. It's still the only game I have gotten a Platinum trophy for on the PS3, and I'm working on getting all the Achievements on the 360. I'm about 10 Achievements away now I think, but most of them are either endgame stuff or time suckers like getting 10,000 total winnings in the casino. Given that Tales of Xillia comes out tomorrow, though, it may be a while before I finish up the 360 version of FFXIII-2.

Hope you weren't too far in! It's funny because I also forget to backup PC game saves. Like, all the time! Which is silly considering all it takes is a couple of clicks to make a backup lol.
 
I had just finished the marine missions. It actually wasn't that bad since I unlocked the achievements and didn't begin the alien and predator missions. The only thing is it wont be marked as 100% completed when I do start the other missions. As long as it doesn't happen to me again before I finish the others I'm okay.
 
Been hearing really good things about that game. When does it come out?

EDIT: Just found out, August 13th. Might have to pick this up with my next paycheck.
 
Oh man, I've been playing the crap out of it. I like it, and the release is apparently going to be much better.

Oh and I played the game the other day. I blew up a meth lab and killed my crew...

Yeah it's a great game if you play it with a friend, in my opinion.

I beat Metro: Last Light. Pretty good game but the ending confused me a bit.
Went back to playing some Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. pretty fun stuff.
 
I've been playing FFXIV. I am working towards becoming a Summoner. Right now I have 24 levels of Arcanist, 15 levels of Thaumaturge, and 11 levels of Archer. FFXIV is a huge improvement over FFXI.
 
When it comes to playing on a console hooked to my TV, it seems to be dominated by my Ouya lately.
I have been playing Inferno+ and Ballistic today. Two very retro looking games when it comes to graphics. Survival high score stuff, just what I love. I was also playing Super Mega Worm earlier this morning.

On my 3DS I am playing Skylanders with that Knight Fire Guy. Can't remember his name. ::)
