I am telling you... wait till the final specs come out.

There is no way all this is being offered... and if it is, I am telling you right now its going to be priced pretty high.  I simply do not believe the whole "10 times the current PC chips"... etc.
Everything else is pretty believably though.... Bluetooth is pretty common now... etc

But he has some valid points. Sometimes Sony doesnt always deliver what they claim. But I will go against him and say that this will be a great system. And it looks very nice too.

ok then.  Tell me the last system Sony kept their promise on.

Ps2? Nope
Ps1?  Nope?
PSX (that expensive special system)?  Definitely not... many capabilities were taken out... and it wasn't brought to light until shipment date (supposively).
Ps3... we'll see.


And You think my Turbo Duo comment is bashing?  ::)  That could be a compliment as I like the TG16 and the Duo systems.

Honestly, I didn't be little it... all I said was wait till the very end for the final specs... as they will probably change.
The only system I really dislike is the Xbox 360 (So far). I have nothing against the PS3.

I don't see why you seem to doubt them. Look at the videos for yourself, look at the specs for yourself, watch the demos for yourself. Read interviews of the developers currently working on the PS3 if you're not convinced, but this is the real deal. Yes its going to be expensive (last I heard was about $450 American) but look at what it can do!

So far, I think the PS3 is the best, and most solid all-around console, out of the next gen consoles. Most powerful, best online, third party support, you name it, they did it right.

For one thing "any" company could slap a powerfull and expensive graphics card(like 500$).

sure the games look good but dose that make a good system? time will tell
 
Stealth...... here we go :)

Psx = The cut MP3 support, DVD burn from 24x (which is not possible even today) to about 8-12x... I am not sure what it went down to (this was 2-3 weeks BEFORE launch). These were big deal features.... there are a couple more as well.

PSP = Still looking for the articles
Ps2 = still looking for the articles
Ps1 = still looking for the articles

I don't like the controller, but then again I never have. So that's not a shock.

The graphics look great, though. It's still third on my list though, especially since Square Enix is going to support the XBOX 360.

Yeah. They are. :) What I meant was that it will be easier not to get a PS3 since Square Enix won't be exclusive to it anymore.
 
Square Enix wernt exculsive to PS for a while now. They released Crystal Chronicles for GC about a year ago. They are just not active to too many other units as they are for Sony and PS.
 
I never realized that the PS1 was supposed to support MP3's.

Either way, I still trust Sony. Sure they may have been overly optimistic with their first console, but they learned from their mistakes. I think it will turn out more or less how they promise.
 
Stealth, I think BV meant the PSX, which was that PS2-TiVo combination that was released over in Japan for like a bazillion dollars.
 
Oh, well that makes a lot more sense then. I tend to forget that PSX <> PS1, because I swore people called the first Playstation PSX.

If anything I think that ups Sony's credibility. Due to the PSX's hybrid nature, its obvious that they were going to try to combine more technologies onto it. Just because they had to ship it before they could add on all the bells and whistles, they still accomplished what they initially set out to do.
 
I suspect he lurks at these boards. I think he just finds making comments is fairly futile, as there are few people here who really agree with him (though I think I would be one that does). Or maybe he just stops by on special occasions like E3.

yeah... every one of their systems have stated features that were pulled somewhat close to launch.  Now.... I am not sure of the PSP though... that was pretty straight forward.

I am pretty sure neph lurks as well. I find many people lurking.
