PC gaming is FUN!

between the time that good games come out for my PS2 I'ved been enjoying PC gaming and having lots of fun. Right now I'm doing GTA: Vice City and True Crime, played them on PS2 but lots of fun on PC and seems a little different for some reason. Or maybe i just want a reason to get a new ATi graphic card to replace my 64 meg one.

agreed, i love PC gaming.......but, there are a few drawbacks IMO.......

1. Laggy Multiplayer. This tends to be very annoying sometimes.
2. Newer Games. I can never get any of these amazing games because my computer gets outdated.

otherwise.......i would be playing on the PC all the time

Ya PC gaming is very demanding on your machine but I have a year old machine I built and does all the games fine. The bad thing is they are a harddrive hog and some games are 4 cds. and why do you want one of the disc's to be in the computer? very annoying and pointless when whole game is installed. I would much rather have whole game on HD and get faster load times than save space and have to mess with cds. besides I have a 200 gig hd that just for backups, downloads, game installs. I have a way to get around it tho ;)

still havent gotten into multiplayer games yet but i would execpt they would be quite a thrill, another bad point is it seems PC games get released LAST.

But I love them and plan on getting more when some really hot games get released.

i have a very powerful machine:
asus p4c800-E mobo
1 GB pc-3200 RAM
Geforce FX 5950 ultra
Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz (800) overclocked to 3.75ghz
200 GB HDD
Cable internet

ive always been mainly a PC gamer im into mostly FPS's such as
1.Counter-Strike
2.Farcry
3.Call of Duty
4.Day of Defeat
5.Deus Ex: Invisible War
and all of those.....i just find much more interactivity with the PC than any of the consoles out right now
all of the games i enjoy are usually online though :)
GC comes in second in my book though  :D

I've really come to like PC games more than consoles.. mine can usually handle anything that I put on it

Right now it is able to play Unlreal 2004 so it's pretty good for most games... and it seems to have better controls for a lot of things too

Yeah, UT2k4 is a very demanding game, as is Farcry. My "new" graphics card (new to me, but not to the rest of the world) is a Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb, so it's not that top of the line. I'm thinking about getting some better cooling in the system and overclocking...

Your eyes probably can't get adjusted to the refresh rate. You can play with those setttings and see what goes down. Just don't put the refresh rate higher than the monitor allows, or you could blow it up (literally).

There's numerous console games with bugs too. I'm not going to be specific, but...
