I would have been more excited had they done this the first time through. I'm a firm believer that they hindered the first one on purpose with time limits and no multiplayer specifically so that they could offer that in an upcoming sequel. I'm still gonna play this game, but with a bitter taste in my mouth.

the 1st game was great....... even in its state, that was an AWESOME game!

I seriously cannot wait for Pikmin 2 :lol

but you know... I have to be honest, I have to beat Pikmin 1 still.

ITs looking much better!

although.... I hope they do not try to do TOO much with it and spoil the game.

i hope it's a good game, at least as good as the first one was. It'll be fun to lead more hordes of pikmin into water and watch them drown (stupid blue ones), or in to a flamethrowing device to burn and die (stupid flame-retardent red ones).

I haven't played the first one, actually. I've been thinking about it, though. It's one of Shiggy's creations, and I haven't been disappointed by those yet.

Cultivating an army from the earth, thats what its all about. Just getting back to nature and having it kick butt for you is a lot of fun. I hope the sequel has more types of pikmin than they've said.

Aww man, the best part was just wasting your Pikmin on the stupidest things. One day I was so bored I decided to "purify" my Pikmin by putting them through trials and taking only the ones that survived. I'd throw red pikmin in the water and a couple blue to throw them out. whichever red ones were tossed out I kept, and if some red died then I'd force the blue ones to walk through a fire infested area. I'd also make only 3 pikmin try to break down a wall and if they didn't do it in 5 minutes I'd make examples of them by feeding them to the local habitants. I did some other cruel and unusual things to them that I can't recall at the moment, fun stuff though.

poor pikmin.

I think it would be funny if they horded on your butt for treating them like crap :lol

Then they overthrow you, through you into a pikmin jail..etc.. :lol

that would be FUNNY.

That would be kinda scary/creepy. Then again, I might just have it coming to me.....

Are there only white and purple new ones? I want more colors.

Fun=letting them blow themselves up with those bombs

Good times, good times.

Have you ever sacrificed a bunch to that Mushroom thingy in the third area that converts them into evil Pikmin? That's a kind of revolt, because after they turn to the dark side (literally, they become a darker color) they will attack you. And then you can get a bunch of uncorrupted Pikmin to fight them, and they'll actually beat the dark ones into good ones. It turns into an all out Pikmin brawl!

Yes, I remember that, that was fun to instigate a Pikmin riot, then beat it down with a mighty fist. Ahhh, the life of a dictator, so satisfying. :p

The newest Game Informer gave Pikmin 2 Game of the Month with a score of 8.75.

Concept: Stick with the core concept of plant-life warfare and build upon it with an infusion of multiplayer and greater diversity in troop types

Graphics: Same as the original, but still gorgeous. Watching your Pikmin splash frantically in water, then transform into a ghost vapor is a sight everyone needs to see

Sound: The Pikmin's high-pitched voices sure are cute, but they get annoying very quickly

Playability: Focuses more on combat and the usage of new Pikmin types

Entertainment: Not as stressful, and loaded with multiplayer longetivity

Replay Value: High

Yeah I read that review. The multiplayer mode sounds promising. Pikmin armies warring against each other, what good times await us.

Pikmin 2 is getting rave reviews. IGN and Game Informer and I think even EGM gave it game of the month.

I have Pikmin envy now. I need to pick up the first one and play it, and then get the second one.
