Makes you wonder if the Funstation is forward compatible :lol

Is this what the guy in the movie Malibu's Most Wanted was talking about? Ya know, when he said he couldn't afford a GameCube or a Playstation, he had a GameStation?

Gamecast :lol

I think this is my favorite topic EVER.

And the Malibu's Most Wanted conversation is like

"Where'd you learn that?
Grand Theft Auto III
Aw man, can I borrow that?
Yeah, you got a Playstation 2?
Naw man, I got a Gamecast.
Well, theres a Gamecube and a Dreamcast
Man I'm poor I can't afford it!"

I agree Saprtan, very funny topic indeed!

But one thing I am curious about, who the hell actually buys these things!?

My guess would be parents who were duped into thinking they were something else, like getting a funstation instead of a playstation not knowing the difference, or people who want a laugh :p

Not a console but

Yea that's what I was thinking, too. Kinda like how old people call any video game system a Nintendo or Playstation. To them they are all the same :P

Exactly, if my mom or dad ever went out to buy me consoles or something I'd probably have atleast one of these :lol

the funny thing is that these are commonly sold in my country or mostly Hispanic countries XD

Man this is a great thread. I never knew stuff like this existed. What kind of games do these things actually play? Are they pirated NES stuff or what? Is there anything original on any of them? I am very curious about that Dr. Boy. And that double game one, :lol I am just curious about it too.

I am sure that there are some Grandparents out there that have purchased some of these things for their Grandchildren thinking that they were getting the real thing. :lol

I would love to walk into a store and see something like listed here in this thread. I would probably purchase them just for the novelty.

Glad people like this thread :D

I think most games are just ripoffs of original games, you can find videos of most of them on youtube :)

The mall in the town over from where I live always has this like booth where someone is selling toys and novelty items and there is always one of these on the shelf :lol

Anyway back to posting more! ;D

^ This. You'll usually find these in poorer countries where people can't afford the official consoles, or most just don't know any better. My cousin in Mexico had a Famicom ripoff but he didn't care, mostly because it was way cheaper.
