Pokemon Co. announced the release date of Pokemon Black & White for NDS, the game will due in Japan on September 18, 2010. The previous installment Pokemon Diamond & Peral sold 17.15 million units (5.8 millions in Japan) worldwide 4 years ago.

Nintendo revealed in CoroCoro magazine that Pokemon Black & White will have a new Pass By Mode, which allows players who are in nearby location to share content and interact to each other. There is also a DSi exclusive feature "Live Caster", which allows you to video chat with 4 friends over Wi-fi, provided they are all registered with Friend Codes.

First feature: Meh, tons of games have that and I'm willing to bet they almost never get used in daily life, let alone actually connect with someone. Gaming events don't count.

You can download rare, shiny versions of legendary monsters Raikou, Entei and Suicine during various week-long periods in January at Gamestop. Check out the schedule of their availability after the jump, and plan your retail excursions accordingly.
If you're looking for something a little more plain Jane, you can pick up Ash's Pikachu -- a version of the iconic lightning mouse with a special set of abilities -- at Toys R Us between January 30 and February 5. Don't get it twisted, though; this guy starts out at level 50. This isn't the adorable mascot you came to know and love in the anime series. This Pikachu is a hardened killing machine.

I just put down money towards Pokemon Black yesterday. Read some interesting stuff about it and a friend of mine played the Japanese version and loved it.
Did you know that in Black and White, they have enough new Pokemon so that you can't catch or trade ANY of the old ones until after you beat the story? So no more caves with Zubats and Geodudes, no relying on old favorites to get through the gyms. I think that in itself is pretty cool.

Though Pokémon Black and White won't include the neat little Pokéwalker peripheral included in last year's HeartGold and SoulSilver, it won't be without alternative methods for monster collection. Nintendo has announced the Pokémon Global Link, a website launching this spring (shortly after the games' release) which will allow players to sync their save files to an online profile, giving them access to a wide range of tools with which to network with their fellow trainers.
The site will let players keep track of their online battle statistics, assigning them a worldwide ranking which may grant them eligibility to participate in live regional, national and global tournaments. The site will also play host to mini-games which will let players collect Pokémon and items which they can transfer back to their Black and White cartridge
