So I was walking through my Wal Mart to check out what titles they had for Wii/to see if they had any units of it and to check on the Ps3 situation..

And I come across this:

So, it's hard to tell in a still picture, but I noticed that on screen a car was crashing, and coincidentally enough, the Ps3 was frozen. It was all on display like a technical wonder, but frozen in stasis. Couldn't help but chuckle and take the photo. Sorry, my phone doesn't take videos.

That's pretty silly. I still want to play motor storm no matter how crappy the PS3 is. I wish they would have made it for X360 instead.

I didn't even know what game it was, but the irony was strong.

What game was this? Usually when a game crashes it's because of the software not the hardware.

True, but the clueless masses doesn't know or doesn't care about that little tidbit. Every console is under the gun during launch, and any hiccup will be like a nasty stain.

Remember the Xbox "arson incidents?" People remembered when the 360 launched...

Very true, I forgot about that.

My 360 freezes on brand new games all the time - its a piece of crap, but a fun piece of crap when it works

That's awesome.

I wonder if Wal-Mart has dummy units like we do. The GameStop PS3 kiosks have one dummy unit (that's the one that everyone sees) and then the real unit is encased inside the stand. It seems like it would be more likely to overheat that way, since there's not much room for ventilation. But so far ours has only frozen twice.
