PS3 To recieve "Trophies" in weeks? (The Achievement points for PS3)

We were also supposed to have Alan Wake on the 360 how long ago? Don't forget Too Human, Duke Nukem, and countless other games that still haven't come out. Really, why do people even care about something so meaningless as Achievements?

Large numbers compensate.

If you know what I'm saying. But for the other half of the population, I'm not sure.

You sure would if the PC had them. :lol
So can you back up what a number affects or are you just gonna make a pass at the fact that Frodus enjoys PC gaming?

Like Fr0dus said, Steam does, and I agree with Fr0dus personally. I don't care about achievements on any console. I prefer to just play the game, and whatever I get, I get.

Does it matter if a game has achievements or trophies? Play the game if you want to play the game. Achievements and Trophies just help people become goal-oriented.

I personally like Achievements/Trophies/Whatever... Makes me not lose interest in the game after 10 minutes.

i agree, i would have lost interest in brawl if it weren't for the trophies XD, same for metroid, and seriously when i pay $50-$60 for a game i wanna do whatever to keep squeezing stuff out of the game, if getting some pointless achievements help (as long as they are fun to do) then so be it

If the achievements were like Steam's for TF2 where you get additional weapons and such after completing them then I say go all for it. But, achievements as they are for the majority of the time just gives you a number to make someone feel good.

And if some people feel good for completing certain objectives, why not have trophies?
