PS3 Version of "Katamari" cancelled, Wii project begins

Two completely different types of games. Tons of songs, and being able to actually control the music and play it helps.
So? It's not like you're on a rail on Katamari. Lots of things can be changed in every game.

Katamari is a game to be experienced before anyone can properly judge it according to their tastes. I personally love it, but I know few people who have played it and still didn't like it. Just try it and see what all the hype is about if you can.

I really liked Katamari.....it had a fun twist to the barely any plot game but it is SO MUCH FUN! :)

Wow, sounds like a huge loss for the PS3!
It actually is a really simple, but addicting game and, while it was never gonna convince a couple million people to buy a PS3, it still isn't good news for the PS3, none the less.

Well, Katamari was a decent sized hit. Like cherry said, it wasn't a system seller but it is a game that people might pick up if they had a PS3.

Katamari Damacy won the gold prize at the 2004 Japanese Industrial Design Promotion Awards, the first time a video game has won this award.[8] It also won the award for "Excellence in Game Design" at the 2005 Game Developers Choice Awards, and G4techTV awarded Katamari Damacy its "Best Innovation" prize in its G-Phoria of that year.
Seems like it. :/

It was budget priced, too, which helped. Katamari Damacy came out at $20 and the sequel, We Love Katamari, was $30. But they made significant improvements that justified the extra $10.

I really hope they don't slap a $60 price tag on the 360 version just because it's on a next-gen console. There's no way it's worth paying that much for. It should be budget priced on the 360 because of the type of game that it is. I'd say $30 max. Anything more than that is a rip.

they are both over $30 used, each, nowadays.

I know, which is crazy. It's because they are so hard to find.

I have both. I kind of wonder how much I could get for them on eBay. :D

That's good because the original game wasn't much more than that. :lol

Then what's the point in it winning an award for basically providing a couple of hours enjoyment? Whoever awarded it isn't at all credible and I stand by my statement that it's not really a huge a loss for Sony. Harsh but true.

Well, its sort of you get what you pay for. It was a budget game so it wasn't that long. For $20, it wasn't a bad buy and a game that was fun while it lasted.

that SUcks! the KAtamari games are awesome! And it would be a great addition to the PS3 library. well i guess i do have to buy a 360 now.
