I just don't like any of those games. I do think it is nice for those who have wanted them. However I guess i'll get little big planet and Dead Nation.

Hey Kids! Mark your calender, May 24th. The PS Store is coming back!

Sony has notified its developer and publisher partners that the PlayStation Store is scheduled to relaunch next Tuesday, May 24, according to a memo obtained by Gamasutra. In the message, PSN content manager Jack Osorno details plans to update the Store twice weekly -- on Tuesdays and Fridays -- for two weeks in order to speed up the release of content that's been delayed due to the outage.

Next Tuesday's update will include content originally scheduled to be released on April 26, while an update on Friday the 27th will bring releases previously planned for May 3. Updates on May 31 and June 3 will comprise the remaining content intended to be published throughout the rest of May. By the regularly scheduled June 7 update, the Store is expected to be up to date.

"If there are concerns, we are willing to consider adjusting the release date of your content on this schedule," Osorno notes. "Adjustments will be made on a case by case basis." (The memo does not address any other kind of adjustment that might be made to appease concerns.)

While the launch date for the "Customer Appreciation Program" wasn't noted (this was a memo to devs and pubs, remember?), the choice of two free games is expected to be made available "shortly after PlayStation Store is restored," for a limited time, according to an announcement earlier this week.

*sigh* Sad week indeed. Well here's what we can break down by what evidence we know

Exhibit A) we both know over 24 sites reported this memo.
Exhibit B) Sony denied this memo
Exhibit C) Asia's PSN is coming back up tomorrow (the 28th) So I assume they were waiting on their services before ours.
Exhibit D) Creators behind Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerfall for PSN reported that the PSN won't be back up until LATE May.
Exhibit E) However, the following game was slated for a May 31st release. So how can they say LATE May when this company denies it?
Exhibit F) E3 is VERY close now and Sony needs to speed it up.

Update: The Asian PSN is back up, but the store remains a mystery still. My theory could be a domino effect. Once all the network kicks up, the rest should follow.

when IS E3 cause i have seen the advertisements on G4 but cant remember when it actually takes place and they show it on G4???

I am too lazy to turn my PS3 on and connect it to the net to get my free game when they open the store again. I hope they delay it for an additional month, maybe in late July? I'll probably get enough energy and will then to turn the system on.

Tokyo, June 2, 2011– Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will fully restore all PlayStation®Network services today June 2, 2011, in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea.
