Anyone play Quake or mods of Quake online anymore? I think I might have to use Gamespy and see if there are any active servers around anymore.

When I get a 'net connection at home, I'll have to hook up some Quake, Quake II (with all mods: Action Quake), and Q3: Arena!

my uncle plays quake 3 for ps2......it really sucks
Why would you buy Quake 3 for a PS2? Its online sucks and most of the fun you'll get out of Quake is through multiplayer...Hinesmdc said:

personally, i think the online craze is ruining gaming. games actually get lower review scores because of the lack of online play.

multiplayer is about having your friends in a room, screaming in laughter and staying up until 4 in the morning playing.

online craze ruining gaming? Online furthers the gameplay by tenfold dude. It turns a sausage fest of split screen action into something just as fun (minus the sausage and split screen
