RARE bringing more N64 classics to Xbox Live Arcade!

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.

Talking with very reliable sources, and seeing evidence ourselves, Xbox Evolved believes that Microsoft, Rareware, MGM Studios (studio that makes the James Bond 007 movies) and Activision (holds the license for James Bond 007 titles right now) have come to an agreement to bring the Rareware developed Goldeneye 007 out to Xbox Live Arcade shortly before the new game developed by Activision is released.

The title will feature updated graphics, and of course an all-new Xbox Live multiplayer. Not only that, but we have found evidence that Rareware is planning on releasing even more of their back catalog onto Xbox Live Arcade, specifically, Perfect Dark and the original Banjo-Kazooie. Expect more on at least Goldeneye 007 later this year.

really stupid. those should be put on the wii VC

Dude, are you crazy? There's no way they would add online functionality to VC versions. Better for them to be on the XBL Arcade so you can play them online. Also, can you say Achievements? Woot!

^_^

Yeah, I'm actually glad they're on XBLA instead of the VC. I knew they'd come out eventually, just not sure when. :p

My only downside? Having but one 360 controller, but four Wiimotes. I'll be playing live on it then. :p

EDIT: Wait... what's the deal? This confirmed, or canned? The other topic about this is confusing me.

I just saw this... they are going to update the graphics and make it live playable?!

oh man.. temptation..

but I wonder how well they will do with the graphics. Sure, the N64 graphics (as of today) aren't that great in Goldeneye... but if you take it out of that atmosphere, I wonder if it will take some of the nostalgia and original play experience as we had before?

I still think VC versions would be good... and I bet you they could do VC online playable games.

Pokemon Snap was the closest we got to online VC games.
