Thanks Kirby for pointing this out :lol

Okay, typical of schools to do this. Yet Nintendo Power? Which is like the Diet Coke of raw gaming magazines. Seriously, the articles and reviews are filled with child-like giggles and gumdrops. Not in a scary demeanor, but it's always been light hearted material.

Honestly? This is hypocritical of Nintendo to do this. They wanted to attract that market, yet it's own magazine says "No" when the ACLU claims principal can't make unilateral decisions of what is appropriate.

Honestly, Nintendo? Get out of the dark ages and into the NOW. You can't please everyone, but just for the love of games, GROW UP. You're as old as me and most of the members here! Just because you have a fear of Soccer mom's sending you an e-mail, doesn't make you a bad person.

What about the issues of Nintendo Power with KILLER INSTINCT or TUROK on the cover from the past? How about issue number 2, with CastleVania 2 on the cover. Where Dracula was DECAPITATED!? Yet GTA sends you running to the hills!? BAH! You need to man-up Nintendo!

Well you pretty much summed it up. I couldn't agree more.

It's not Nintendo's fault that there afraid of the Soccer moms most of them are psyhco from popping there kids ritalin like they were pezs well that and drinking lattes like they are water. :D

I'm not surprised. If it's not cute little puppies or kittens with big eyes, Nintendo doesn't want anything to do with it.

At this I don't think Nintendo has much choice right now but to largely cater to the kiddie game lovers who are fearful of anything rated M look at there platform console the Wii if they anger the kiddie/causal gamers to much they lose there base auidence and Wii just doesn't have the capablities to go head to head with Xbox 360 and PS3 for hardcore gamers. Now last generation I would have agreed with you that Nintendo should have man-up because the Gamecube could compete system wise with the PS2 and Xbox RE4 showed us that.

Uhh...

I think you read the title of this news article wrong, Mega.

Nintendo didn't pull the issue. A school did, from their school library. :/ The issue is still a go on Nintendo's side.

DOH! * _ _

Still, the situation itself is... weird. I don't understand how the cover is bad. The principal made an unfair assumption that Nintendo is kiddy-only. It's almost as if it's against the law for Nintendo to be mature nowadays. :/ Here they are, trying to do so with this game (and the cover is so tame it's not even funny, I don't see any problems with it), and people like this principal are telling them no. How wrong is that?

I can see why the principal would feel the need to pull the magazine since middle schoolers sre 5th to 8th grade probably figured he would have smaller angry mob there to put his head on stick if he did take it out than if hadn't.

The point moreso than anything is that they allowed Nintendo Power in the first place, assuming it was "kid-friendly" 100% through. That's what's annoying to me, anyway.
