I think this is sick Mad, it's inhuman how can people kill seals just for there fur...Ill be brutally honest this is the only the reason i dislike Canada because i know they do it alot over there.

Yeah, hunting for furs is something I never really approve of. Seal clubbing has originally done by Inuit hunters, for food. I don't have a problem with that, but killing them to make a quick buck is just disgusting.
 
I think it is really sad.

I do not feel like going and watching the vid though, cuz I bet it is real depressing. I will just take your word for it.

Reason i don't watch these kinds of videos any more is because i get to angry...and i have a hard time controlling it...especially with this kind of thing >:(.

I hope all supports and people who do this die of frostbite or starvation they deserve nothing less than that through my eyes >:(.
 
Clubbing seals for food is one thing. It's a matter of survival. But killing seals for their fur is another entirely. I'll stick to my cotton blankets and whatnot.

Yea, I didn't even watch the video because I will just get too mad. I remember seeing something about animal abuse on a local tv show once and I honestly felt like driving to the place and hurting people >:( I just have zero tolerance towards acts of violence against animals, woman, children or any other defenceless being.

EDIT: Hunting is okay though, because that is for food and hunters generally respect and care for nature {at least from what I have seen}.
 
Hunting for any reason other than food and survival is a big NO!!! from me.

Don't get me wrong abusing women and children gets me riled up as well.

Agreed, I don't believe in "sport" hunting or anything like it. I hate that bush crap where they go and hunt for elephants or lions. Makes me sick.

We sure do. I clubbed myself three seals on the way to school today, and another two on the way back... :lol

You do realize people all over the world buy seal fur, and that people who go and club seals are also from many places around the world, and that the Canadian population is generally outraged that this sort of thing goes on illegally in our own country? Us people "over here" are just as much against the killing of animals for their fur as anywhere else in the world. It's not a "Canadian" thing by any stretch of the imagination.

While I don't agree with his words, I did hear a sale clubber once say on TV that the only reason people cared was because seals were cute. He pointed at the illegal hunting of alligators that goes on in Florida and California and said that people were just letting their emotions cloud their judgement.

Nevertheless, seeing seals clubbed does break my heart. I too decided not to watch the video. I have seen it before, its not something I want to see again anytime soon.
 
Ok..mabey i should have looked in to it a bit more i didn't relies people from all around did this. I don't hate Canada thats why i used the word dislike...i do hate the fact that Canada isn't doing anything about it.

I'm a full on animal rights person cute or not and i find illegally hunting sharks,whales,dolphins,alligators,crocodiles etc etc just as sickening.

The thing is alot of people just think humans are better than any other animal there for we have the right to do this stuff...i honestly don't know whats wrong with some people.

In Australia at the moment i think it's Korea is illegally whaling in Australian waters and there excuse is they are doing "research".

I find killing animals for pure greedy profit,sport and or fun is sickening and i honestly don't know what is wrong with these people and why they don't feel anything when they kill something.

I don't even like when people use shedded snake skins for stuff, and snakes don't even have to die for that.

I agree with the fact that seal clubbing gets attention because seals are cute, and humanity as a whole doesn't seem to care a lot when non-mammals are being poached.

But I can't believe that guy is seriously using that as justification for clubbing a baby seal. >_>

I'm with x2 on this one.If you take away our weapons you would be surprised at how many animals can kick our butt.We as humans move into their turf,and we have the audacity to call them a pain in the butt.

Thats the thing though to get through there really thick skulls where there pea sized brain lives is to go to the extreme...they aren't going to listen to a angry letter.
