Hi everyone!

I've noticed that recently my internet sometimes runs fast as usual, but other times, like right now,it's quite slow.I ran a scan for viruses, but I'm okay in that area. What are some other things that might cause this?

God bless,

Too many people trying to get on said site/internet connection on its own/the company/what you're running, stuff like that.

Could be a number of things. As fhq pointed out, the website itself could be bogged down with traffic, or you could be accessing it at a time when your particular internet connection is bogged down due to too many users on the same node, etc. Or you could have something on your computer interfering, such as spyware or unnecessary browser helper objects.

What browser are you using? What's your internet connection?

The current browser I'm using is "Internet Explorer". My connection is Windows XP.I was thinking of Firefox but I don't know if it's better than what I'm currently using.

What's happenin' mariorulezman :) Why is Firefox better than Internet Explorer?

Firefox supports add-ons. No longer will you ever have to see another advertisement on any websites, websites that appear as just text in, say, a forum will appear as a genuine, clickable link, Firefox is much more secure and multiple times faster than Internet Explorer, you can change themes, you can add other functionality. Basically it's your browser, and allows you to customize it however you wish.

I'm currently running Firefox 3 beta 4, and it's one of the fastest browsers I've used. Rivals Opera.

and if your something happens and it unexpectantly shuts down, and say your in middle of an long email, next time you open it will will ask if you want it to re load up where you currently where on the internet

I couldn't help to laugh at this sentence. To clear things up Kaz. When he asked what you were using as connection he meant your internet connection in example: Dial, DSL, Cable, etc.
