SNK Playmore takes a bit of a turn...

This is a bit of old news, but it's new news to me, so I'm going to dish on it.

I was one of the many fighting game fans who bought King of Fighters XII launch day for my PS3. I loved the graphics and the gameplay and all the various systems in the game. It showed that SNKP can still put together a quality fighting game... until you looked at the rather small roster, missing movesets, and horribly crippled, borderline broken net-code.

I've been playing a lot of their ports and such because I still really enjoy the old stuff. And I've been buying up Neo Geo Pocket Color games like crazy. Mainly fighters, of course.

But this is just really sad. The president wanting to shut down the games division and focus on licensing all that? That leaves a bad taste.

One User in the comments suggested porting the best NGPC fighters (Capcom vs. SNK: Match of the Millennium, Last Blade, Gals Fighters, but there's also Samurai Shodown! 2, King of Fighters R-2, and Fatal Fury: First Contact) and I would be all for that.

But how the mighty have fallen, eh?
