So...I got an Xbox finally...

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
What was the first game I wanted to see on it? DOOM 3. My PC isn't that strong and plus I didn't want to give into a pricy upgrade with video cards and such. So I took this alternate route.

Now all I have to say iis DOOM 3 scares the crap out of me at times...DARKNESS is not your friend...just leads to a beaten from the ungodly creatures from the depths of Hell....

I think today (if it's out today...should be) I'll pick up the expansion pak ""Resurrection of Evil" for Xbox

I got RoE today, I think when i get the chance, I'll get on Xbox Live
 
So far I've seen two new enemies, a new type of "Hell Knight" that floats around like a ghost...and some kind of super "imp" that throws green fire balls...

One of the new weapons is called "The Grappler" if an enemy shoots a fireball at you...you can grab it...and fling it right back at them!

The Pistol now has the flashlight attached to it...so that comes in Handy.

So far, this game is tough as Nails...I couldnt even pass the first area lol
 
Thats cool G&G that you got a new xbox. I just got one a month ago. Im thinking about getting XBL. I just got Morrowind and Unreal Championship. They are really fun.

The Grappler sounds cool...is it overly powerful though? And the pistol with an attached flashlight is the stupidest thing they could have done. Period.

It is powerful, if you catch the right item or fireball, it can do some really good damage, it stops Lost Souls dead in their tracks...just let go of the fire button and they go flying.

Yet the downside is you have to watch out...there is this one demon who is NOT effected by this...so you must fine an alternate source to attack him with..

Doom 3 is supposed to be a scary game. In the original, it was a trade-off.

"Well, I can have my gun out to protect myself from the dark, or I can have my flashlight out and see the dark."

Catch my drift?
 
Okay the newest weapon in the game is called "The Heart of Hell"...this Heart (literally a human heart)...has the ability to do the unthinkable....FREEZE TIME ITSELF...thus "Hell Time" where everything goes into slow-mo...and puts you into beserk mode easily.

It gains power from absorbing the souls of humans (scientist laying around mostly)

The bad side..is the longer you use it...the more it'll try to drain you...pretty wicked. You'll see your hands turn from young to an old man quickly....
 
I almost bought myself a Xbox today, but then I started to think that the Xbox 2 is comming out soon, so that made me change my mind all of a sudden. The Xbox was price $129.99 at my local EB store and it was tempting! They even had a PSP for $199.99! I had at least $220.00 in my pocket, but instead I bought myself a new PS2 controller.

Grr..you guys think I should wait or just go ahead and get the Xbox?
 
well this was my thinking. Im trying not to buy the new xbox 360. So I bought the xbox and all the games are 20 and under. Im saving a lot of money in the long run. I dont want to get the 360 because going to college and work, I wont have time to play all the new games.

Actually it's $99 used at GameStop and GameCrazy now...;)

It depends. Since you dont have any xbox games (Im guessing) then I guess it should be ok to start with a fresh new system. But for the same price of just a new system you can get an xbox and quite a bit of games and XBL. As far as I know even if you get the new xbox you still have to pay to play on XBL despite it being free.
