That's why the new consoles are coming out, game-wise these consoles aren't fresh enough.

I think its because its hard to come up with new ideas these days. It seems everything has been done. Not many companies want to take risks.

To be honest Oldschooler, I too am sick of this World War 2 cash cow...i wish they would leave it alone...there are too many right now...and then the Desert Storm stuff...then down the road...Afganstan video games..it just never stops...

No kidding. Let's see, what franchises (even if there is only one game) are WW2 based?

Medal of Honor (Biggest one, like 5 games out in this generation alone)
Brothers in Arms
Wolfenstein
Battlefield 1942
Call of Duty
That Battle of the Midway game

That's all I can think of offhand, but there are lots more.

Why does all the crappy games come out all fast and all the games that we wait and preorder are released 2-4 yrs later?! I hate that alot!

Now they are pumping out Vietnam games...

Purple Haze
Conflict Vietnam

And now shooting "BLACK HAWK DOWN" video games this month with it's own sequel?? How can you make a sequel of a game/movie/story that only happened ONCE

Btw in reality, my dad lost one of his close friends during that "Black Hawk Down" scenario...so now I have more of an understanding of how War can really effect your life, friends, family, etc. It sucks...and I wish these video game companies like EA and such would stop.....re-inacting War looks fun on a game screen...but knowing what really happened there is a heart ache.

@Bman, yes I agree that it is weird that the worst games come sooner and the really excellent titles are late. Yet that is just marketing, they always release before the Christmas season. So it's no big surprise how we are forced to wait so long for a good sequel or upcoming title.

im from the 20th century.. the psx era where lots of rpgs are being made.. i really enjoy those good old days where i keep playing 1 rpg after another... nowdays not much great rpgs had been released for ps2 except ffx and shadow hearts 2.. the rest are decent..
