Priced and detail. Very nice price btw :)

Surprising approximately no one, the final prices for the various releases of the multiplayer-only SOCOM: Confrontation have been announced. Tearing a page (and pricing sheet) straight out of the Warhawk playbook, Confrontation is being offered in both digital and Blu-ray variants, with the latter being offered in both stand alone and bundle versions.

Pricing for both the PlayStation Network download and the retail stand alone version is $39.99 while the retail bundle version – which includes the (rather attractive) PS3 Bluetooth headset along with "exclusive Behind the Scenes videos" – will be $20 more, at $59.99. No prices yet for the rest of the world, but Sony is aiming for a worldwide release of October 14th. Our magic eight-ball says we'll "most likely" hear a price before then.

ive actually been really excited for this game for a long time, and hell if they need more time to finish the game it doesnt bother me just dont keep delaying it over and over and over.

It's here, it's packin' heat, and it's quite impressive. Yet there's some things you need to be warned.

1.) Installing the game before you even play, don't launch into the main game, since it will kick you back out.
It requires 3.1GB to install. Afterwards, it needs the update patch, which is 447MB. So after 15 minutes, I was ready to play.

2.) I hope this doesn't happen to YOU, but when i started the game, it told me user file data was CORRUPTED. I don't know about you, but how can something be corrupted if I haven't even played it yet!!? O.o Basically, just go into [Save Data Utility] and delete that file, it will only be 532kb, so no biggie.

3.) We're ready to play! HURRAY! Okay even I have to say, this will backfire on me from other people I speak with, since this is the worst install of a game since DMC4 or MGS4 on the PS3.

Now the main game is very easy to get into, but very hard to put down. The customization is top notch. You receive two types of characters, Commandos (Jungle or Desert) and Mercenaries (for Urban or Desert Warfare). You can change their faces, their facial hair, headgear, and battle scars.

I love the BDU's in this game, they range from the classic to newer types of BDU's

Gun customization is the most impressive I've seen so far, I don't get to play many war combat type games, but Sony does this with flying colors. From the Scope, to the base, to the very tip of your gun, you can add some serious stats to your weapon's accuracy.

The in-game performance reminds me of Metal Gear Online's detail alot. Very rich environments, but what makes this game different to that of Gears of War, MGS, and Syphon Filter type games. This is as REAL as it gets, no insane jumping like Halo or Duck/Cover methods of MGS or Gears of War. It's like really being a true soldier out in the field. You can jump, but not that high lol

Well the best deal you can get out of this game, is the lovely Bluetooth Headset that comes with it. It comes with it's own charge dock station, a USB Cable, and it takes 3 hours to fully charge. The headset last 8 hours of gameplay. It works much better than my Motorola blue tooth headset and feels comfy when it's sitting in your ear compared to most. Yes you can use it on your cellphone like a normal one as well. The only tricky part was to get this bluetooth headset to sink up to the PS3. You're suppose to hold down the power button on the Bluetooth until it begins to blink red and green colored LED's. Which they call, "Discovery" mode. Only thing I discovered was this is a pain in the butt and I wanna play the freakin' game!! Anyways, it's actually really easy once they sink up (Just read page 34 of the SOCOM Manual to explain more).

Overall, the installation stinks like Rosanne Barr's career. The game? Rocks my freakin' socks off!!

Wow, your installation took that long?! Mine took 8 minutes..lol. The patch went a lil faster than I thought. I'm not playing it at the moment though cause I have a friend over, so we're gonna Madden it up for a while longer. I'll play this tonight though! :D

Well, on the front of the box is does say "Online only". :-\

Yeah I had like a few people who complained about that, since the previous had some type of offline mode. Yet Sony wants to enforce everyone to get online.
