SOPA good or bad?

SOPA and PIPA are practically dead. It's the ACTA now…

And no, they are definitely not good. AT ALL.

This. SOPA and PIPA are not even practically dead, they are dead from the blackout on the 18th. But SOPA and PIPA were just a cover up from people finding out about ACTA.

They are all bad... and I'm about as anti-piracy as people come... They will only cover up what we see. It's kind-of like what China does to their people.

The bills do NOTHING to really stop the sites... That's a bad deal.

I'm also bothered by the fact that they keep going after the internet while seemingly ignoring more important US issues, such as healthcare, poverty, the terrible education system, etc.

Oh, it's all a part of the grand picture of Socializing the U.S. The attack on the internet will close the doors to exercising the 1st Amendment. Right now, with the TSA, the rise in routine police road blocks and law enforcement using entrapment tactics to strip people of their 4th Amendment rights. Not to mention the whole "Fast and Furious" scandal undermining the 2nd Amendment, it's all coming to the point of a more Socialistic government where the people are hopelessly dependent on the government for even the most basic of necessities.

Sounds like a rant, I know. But the ball is almost rolling. In ten years, if We the People do nothing about it, our freedoms and our country will cease to exist.
