If they did a game rendition of the books I believe that it could be even better than the ones that are games. Maybe even change the gameplay a bit and make it more like a squad based shooter like Rainbow Six

No, this is a debate about which games have the best storylines. It just happens that people really only know the storylines from games they've played, so it looks a little like a favorites list.
Agreed with God of War. I also really like Shadow of the Colosuss's and Okami's storylines.

Metal Gear Solid hands down. If you can endure the 20 minute cutscenes, its incredible. Also, shadow of the colossus and Fire Emblem.
