Wayyy back in the late 80's. Japan had their had Super Mario cartoon series, which is a bit weirder compared to ours. Yet however, I like how this one stays closer to the game's style.

That... was different, lol.

I'm afraid that Mario may have had one too many energy drinks while playing if all that came out of the TV.
