Consider their population density, and they're availability to emergency services compare to ours, and their health care...

It might actually save a lot of money, worry, and lives to take some stern precautions in China.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Generally, East Asian cities are unbelievably densely populated. If just a few people get swine flu in Shanghai or Beijing, there isn't really much of any way to stop it from spreading. Plus, just three years ago the SARS epidemic brought the country to a standstill. They don't want a repeat of that.

Yeah the east is freaking out over swine flu

they think its gonna be the next sars or something

but the whole swine flu thing i dying down so it should die out in like...a month or so

Fifteen is median age of HOSPITAL cases... That just means that kids parents are taking them to the hospital as soon as they notice flu symptoms.

The confirmed deaths in Mexico, as I said, were likely the result of a secondary infection once hospitalized. Nosocomial infections like pneumonia caused by Klebsiella strains are notorious for causing deaths in hospitals.

Besser said the CDC has little information on other medical conditions of hospitalized patients that might have made them more vulnerable.

And the Texan woman was middle-aged and from the hearsay, had other contributing medical conditions.

It's a joke. :p

If only it happened. :lol

if it did happen i would end up being able to live

unless they were like zombies from l4d cause then i couldnt win at all unless i was with someone

H1Z1.. ha...

I pretty much knew it was a joke as soon as I saw that... Hemagglutanin and Neuraminidase are the H & N in the flu strain names... I'd like to see what antigen they'd come up with to fit the Z.

I heard on the radio today someone died of swine flu

Doctors think other health conditions had something to do with it but the family
of course doesnt

Hmm, without any other information, it's difficult to say with certainty.

But, the combination of known morbidity/mortality rates of influenza and related complications plus the opinion of the physician attending the case pretty good evidence that it fits the pattern of complications other than influenza itself leading to the death.
