The game that got me hooked onto RPG is Grandia. Ever since i saw my uncle tim play that game (No I never played it for myself >_>) Ive been trying to find a game that recreated the feel of that much fantasy and drama.

This game is so much fun. I love it. Its one of my favorites for Gamecube without a doubt.

But yeah I think it is pretty underrated, but still really really good.

by the way does anyone ever played tales of abyss??? is it better than symphonia???

I wouldn't say better. They are both awesome. Abyss has a better story and better soundtrack, though, IMO. If you have a PS2 to play it on, I would recommend getting Tales of the Abyss.

will do as soon as i can (meaning after playing my cascade of games on the wii /DS) though i don't know if the fun factor will be like tales of symphonia (i don't live near my old friends anymore and i don't have the multi tap)

well i never cared about level (i'm usually in good shape) but i suggest you use raine, kratos (let the computer be them) and then use as your main either lloyd or colette.
 
I just got Tales of Symphonia. So far I like it. The voice actors are some of my favorites (Mostly Kratos since it's the same Voice Actor that did Liquid Snake in MGS). The combat system is alot of fun but, I kinda wish it was as free as Star Ocean Till the End of Time.
 
well if you liked this one you should try tales of the abyss wich is a lot more free (though it's the hardest one to find)

*plop* oook... well what i like about namco stories is that they grab a bunch of suprises and make you go OMG
